BONUS WRESTLING!

With no tournament the next few weeks, Mac, Team Lightning, and SVWC have decided to do our own "mixer" Sunday from ~1-3 pm.

If your wrestler wants some extra mat time in a less pressure environment, this will allow that opportunity.

Girls! If you're looking to wrestle in this, there's an opportunity to get a pretty cool giveaway!

We plan to open registration for the MAC-TOWN THROWDOWN on November 1st at 6pm. The first 50 to sign up will receive something a little different this year. In years past we gave out singlets, but I know a lot of clubs are wanting their wrestlers to represent their respective clubs when on the mat.

The giveaway is a full zipper warmup jacket.

Hi SVWC family, I was asked if we would like to host a concession stand for the mud VBALL tournament in Marquette on August 16th. We will be able to sell items we had left over from the tournament this last weekend but I am needing a couple of volunteers willing to work it! If I could get 4 people willing to work a 3.5-4 hour shift that would cover it! We’d need 2 people to work 830-12 and then 2 people to work 12-330/4! All proceeds will go to SVWC, any middle or high schoolers that might want to help! Derek also said that these could be considered “community service” hours that he is able to sign off on! I will set up and tear down so all we’d need is you to show up and run it while the tournament is going on!

This weekend was fantastic. The people who stepped up to help, the officials working, the community and teams who showed up.

We will undoubtedly have plenty of pictures, but I wanted to send praise to all those involved on all ends. Mac wrestling club for their mats, our sponsors for making it possible, and anyone else involved. Huge shout out to Dakota Base and Alan English for being the motor that drove the event. James Cook for his technical advice, but also keeping us in line.

Alyssa Crowther and crew for the concessions did a fantastic job. The burritos were superb.

Good first day! Didn't finish as much as we wanted, but kids had a blast!
