What a great morning on the courts! 🏓

Today marked the first session of our Summer Pickleball Fun series, and participants spent the morning learning the basics, practicing their skills, and enjoying some friendly games under the guidance of Wyatt Nissen.

Summer Pickleball Fun is designed for all ages and skill levels—from complete beginners to experienced players. No partner is needed, as staff will organize pairings and game rotations throughout the morning.

Saturday Night at the Lindsay Event Center was LIT!!! 🏐 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first Glowdown: Teen & Adult Coed Volleyball Tournament!

One of the biggest highlights of the night was watching our teen teams battle their way through a bracket filled with adult teams. They proved they could compete with anyone, earning 3rd and 4th place finishes and pushing the top adult teams with some impressive volleyball.

And we think everyone in attendance would agree that the Teen Net Ninjas stole the show. This all-female team of 14- and 15-year-olds played with incredible confidence and determination, going toe-to-toe at the net with adult male players. Watching them rack up spike kills, stuff blocks, and refuse to back down against much older competition was one of the most exciting parts of the entire tournament.

We welcomed 8 teams and players from Columbus, Norfolk, Genoa, Pender, and Humphrey, and every one of them said we need to do this again!

🏆 Congratulations to our inaugural Glowdown champions:

🥇 1st Place – Team Keila (Columbus)
🥈 2nd Place – DFL (Columbus)
🥉 3rd Place – Teen Net Ninjas (Humphrey, Norfolk, Pender)

🏐 Summer Youth Volleyball League 🏐

REGISTRATION EXTENDED THROUGH JUNE 15TH!

There's still time to sign up for our Summer Youth Volleyball League! This is a great opportunity for 5th Grade, 6th Grade, and Junior High teams to compete, improve their skills, and have fun throughout the month of July.

Season Dates: June 30 – July 29, 2026
4 Weeks of League Play + End-of-Season Tournament

League Schedule
• 5th & 6th Grade Teams – Tuesdays
• Junior High Teams – Wednesdays
• Game Times: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Lindsay Main Gym & Event Center

Each team will:
• Play multiple matches each night
• Be guaranteed at least 12 pool-play matches
• Compete in a postseason tournament
• Play in either the Gold or Silver Bracket Championship

Cost: $200 per team

Kids Fun & Fit Club Is Back for a Full Month This Summer!

After a successful trial run and fantastic feedback from participating families, we're excited to continue Kids Fun & Fit Club for a full month of summer fun at the FCA Lindsay Fitness Center! Designed for children ages 6 months to 10 years, this supervised program offers a safe, active, and engaging environment filled with games, crafts, light fitness activities, structured play, and more.

While children enjoy fun and age-appropriate activities, parents can make the most of their time at the facility—whether that means getting in a workout, attending a meeting, working remotely, or simply taking some well-deserved personal time. Sessions will be offered on June 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and July 1, 6, 8, 13, and 15, with a Morning Session from 9:00–10:30 AM and an Afternoon Session from 1:30–3:00 PM available each day. Open to Members & Non-Members Alike!

Join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest team member, Wyatt Nissen!

Wyatt is a recent graduate of Wayne State College and brings a passion for sports, fitness, and staying active to our community. He will be working with youth activities at the Lindsay Event Center while also assisting with daily operations at the FCA Lindsay Fitness Center .

When asked what he's most looking forward to, Wyatt shared, "I look forward to meeting more people in this great community and being a positive part of all the exciting activities happening here."

A few quick facts about Wyatt:

• Favorite sports: Football and Track & Field. Fun fact: He was a collegiate sprinter, which made track an even bigger passion of his!

• Hobbies: Fishing and weightlifting are his favorite ways to stay active and unwind.

• Fun fact: He collects Star Wars memorabilia and LEGO sets because Star Wars is one of his all-time favorite movie series.

• Favorite restaurants: Texas Roadhouse and Chick-fil-A.

• If he won the lottery: He would invest in stocks, pay off family debt, and spend more time doing the things he enjoys most.

Next time you see Wyatt around the Lindsay Event Center or FCA Lindsay Fitness Center, be sure to introduce yourself and say hello. We are excited to have him on our team and look forward to the positive impact he will make in our community!

🏐 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! REGISTER EARLY! 📢 Calling all alumni from Albion, Cedar Rapids, Clarkson, Elgin, Genoa, Howells, Humphrey, Leigh, Lindsay, Monroe, Newman Grove, Petersburg, Silver Creek, Spalding, St. Edward, and surrounding communities.

Grab your former teammates and classmates and join us for a full day of volleyball, music, food trucks, a full bar, school pride, and friendly old-school competition at the Rivalry Reunion: Coed Alumni Volleyball Tournament & All-School Alumni Party on August 8, 2026, at the Lindsay Event Center.

⚠️ Team spots are limited, so register early before spots fill up.

If you know you'll be entering a team, don't wait until you have every player lined up. Register your team now and submit your final roster by July 24. Early registrations help us plan tournament schedules and event activities for this first-year event.

The bracket is out for The Glowdown: Teen & Adult Coed Volleyball Showdown at the Lindsay Event Center this Saturday! Put on your neon and come watch the teams battle it out. We will have music, concessions, and upper deck viewing all night.

Admission: $5 (5 and under free)
