Friday night lights are back, and we want everyone to enjoy LCS athletic events safely!

A reminder for our families: Students in grades 8 and below may not be dropped off and left unattended at LCS athletic events. These students must attend with a parent or responsible adult and remain appropriately supervised throughout the event.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, enjoyable environment for our students, families, athletes, and fans.

We lost a tough one today against Chase middle school, 16-0. The boys played pretty hard on both sides of the ball. We have things to work on tomorrow and the rest of the week to get better. We had positive thing happen to build on. As coaches we will get better teaching our players, starting from the fundamentals. I would like to apologize to our 5th quarter guys that didn't get the opportunity to get some snaps today. There was miscommunication from Chase about having a 5th quarter team. Next week , Kings Mountain will have a 5th quarter team. It will start around 4:30. We are proud of the effort today. Chiefs

Our first football game is this Wednesday August 26, at Chase high school. 5th quarter starts at 4:30, the game will start at 5:00. Please come out and support our team and cheerleaders. Admission for games is $5.00 Chiefs

Saturday, August 22,2026 we will be traveling to Lenoir Rhyne for our jamboree. Our first scrimmage is at 4:50pm on the gym side of the field. Our second one is at 6:30pm, on gym side of field. Players will travel on the schools activity bus to and from jamboree. Make sure Players eat a healthy meal during the day and are properly hydrated. Please come and support our team in our first competition of the season. Go Chiefs

Football practice Tuesday August 11 is from 3:00-4:30. For open house at school. Keep hydrated.

Mandatory football practice starts Monday, August 3 at 3:15 (on the field) until 5:30. If you haven't been to summer workouts you will need to be there early, around 2:45. Be sure to have a current physical and concussion form, cleats, sneakers, water bottle. There will be a parent's meeting after practice. Hydrate before you get to practice, not when you get there. Looking forward to another football season at WLMS.
