Cold mornings. Horses saddled before daylight. Riding into the mountains with your breath hanging in the air. Campfires, hot coffee, bugling bulls, tired horses and long days doing what we love.

There’s just something about hunting season in Montana.

The gear is getting packed, the horses are getting ready, and the excitement around K Lazy 3 is REAL.

HUNTING SEASON IS ALMOST HERE!

What people see: horses headed into the mountains, beautiful camps, big country and hunting season.

What they don’t always see: all the work that happens behind the scenes to make it possible.

Our amazing crew has been busting their butts packing bales, organizing gear, getting horses ready and making sure everything is lined out for the season ahead.

We’ve got ONE more camp to get in… and then it’s GO TIME!

There are a whole lot of long days, heavy lifting, dusty clothes and teamwork behind every trip into the backcountry and we couldn’t do it without this crew.

Big birthday shoutout the 22nd to one of the absolute best! Alexey, you may have started out as a friend, but somewhere along the way you became family.

From cowboying, riding, chute help, hunting and we’re just pretty dang lucky to have you in our lives!

We sure appreciate this young man! Dylan is always willing to help us out, incredibly polite, talented at just about anything he puts his mind to and the guy can COOK!
When he’s not working hard, you can bet he’d rather be somewhere with a fishing pole, rifle or trap in his hand.

There’s nothing quite like standing at the trailhead when our guests ride out of the mountains.

The smiles, the stories, the laughter… hearing about the horses they connected with, the wildlife they saw, the friendships they made around the campfire, and the memories they’ll carry home is why we do what we do.

The Bob Marshall has a way of slowing life down and reminding us what really matters. It’s more than just a horseback trip—it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave.
