Those infamous Pilates shakes?
They’re actually a pretty normal response to muscular fatigue and challenge, especially when you’re working deep stabilizing muscles with slow, controlled movement.

In Pilates, we often train with:
✨ longer time under tension
✨ precise, intentional movement
✨ small stabilizing muscles that don’t always get attention in everyday workouts

When those muscles get challenged, your nervous system and muscle fibers are working hard to coordinate, stabilize, and maintain control… and sometimes that shows up as a little shake.

It doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It often means your body is working, adapting, and building strength. 💛

And honestly? Around here, we see the shakes as a badge of honor. 😌

Okay… maybe not ignore them entirely.
But there’s something powerful about stepping into the studio and giving your mind a moment to breathe.

For one hour, you get to focus on:
your breath, your movement, your body, and yourself.

And somehow, after moving with intention, the stress feels lighter, your shoulders aren’t quite as tense, and the problems don’t seem quite so loud anymore.

Pilates has a way of bringing you back to yourself. 💛

I get it, because I was there too.

That’s why I’m passionate about creating a space where movement actually feels life-giving. Where you can love the movement, how you feel, & still get results.

Share your favorite dad-isms in the comments! Whether it's advice you received or a dad joke that is always on repeat... dads and fatherly figures can be such a special relationship on this earth!

Not to brag, but I think my dad was great at both!
His nose in the winter was always "colder than a well-diggers rear."
Everything yummy would put hair on your chest.
But his advice... GOLD. From his lived life experience, his strong faith, enterprenuerial spirit, and supreme optimism... he was our biggest cheerleader and greatest resource.

Sami’s goal is to run 100 miles in one shot! So far she’s been able to hit 31 miles from the strength she gained through Pilates.

She shared that she used to deal with constant pain running from her hip all the way down to her knee from IT band syndrome. It got to the point where running stopped being enjoyable.

After consistently taking Pilates, she says that pain has completely disappeared. 🙌

Her favorite reformer exercises for running?
• seated single leg work
• side-lying leg press, sweeps, & lifts
• calf stretches + prancing
• hip flexor work
• stretches

What she discovered, and what many runners are learning, is that sometimes the issue isn’t just tightness… it’s stability.

Pilates helps strengthen the smaller stabilizing muscles around the hips, core, and pelvis that support better alignment, smoother movement, and more efficient running mechanics.

Translation:
🏃 better endurance
🏃 improved recovery
🏃 fewer aches and compensations
🏃 stronger, more supported movement

You don’t have to stop running to feel better.
Sometimes you just need to support your body differently.

What’s something you’ve noticed since starting Pilates? Big or small… share your milestone below 👇🏻

There’s a reason this quote has stood the test of time.✨

Not because Pilates promises perfection…
but because consistent movement changes the way you live in your body.

Sometimes the first 10 sessions look like:
✨ less stiffness getting out of bed
✨ deeper breaths
✨ better balance
✨ feeling stronger carrying groceries or chasing kids

Then somewhere along the way, something shifts:

His golf buddies began to notice! 👀🏌️‍♂️

One of our clients recently shared that after just a couple months of reformer Pilates, his golf swing noticeably improved… and apparently his golf buddies noticed too. 🙌

So we started asking the golfers in our community what actually makes the biggest difference out on the course.
