Huge shout out to our athletics for their success this week!

Volleyball had an incredible week — going 6 for 6 at home with wins over Sylacauga, ❌unford, Springville, Winterboro, Childersburg and Gadsden City! JV also knocked out some wins as well.

Boys cross country won the Alexandria Twilight invitational Thursday evening with three of our runners finishing inside the top ten. The girls team also had a strong performance.

JV football improved to 3-0 this season with a win over Center Point Monday night.

Not only did Lincoln High break its 15-game football losing streak Friday night, which dates back to 2023, the Golden Bears also handed new Lincoln head coach Bret Henderson his first win at LHS.

While it’s true the Golden Bears haven’t sniffed a region football championship since 2019, Lincoln High still has some speed, some size and some heart to work with. The Golden Bears aren’t out of the woods, but they do have a clue where they’re going.

Help us give a warm welcome to Tori Wilkinson, our new Varsity Cheer Sponsor! We’re so excited to have her leading our cheer squad with energy, spirit, and passion.

Ms. Wilkinson will also be joining the team at Drew Middle School as a teacher —so she’s already making a big impact in our school community. We can’t wait to see all the great things she’ll bring to the classroom and the cheer team!

Lincoln High squeezed into the top four at the Class 5A boys state track and field meet Saturday in Gulf Shores. Lincoln finished fourth with 43 points, edging out fifth-place Ramsay, which had a final tally of 42 points.

Lincoln is always in the running at the Class 5A sectional track and field meet. The Golden Bears were on the mark and in the top group again Friday and Saturday in Lincoln. The Lincoln boys won five events.
