“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”

This team is and was incredible from the start of the season to today.

From hitting struggles to sometimes not knowing where an out was coming from towards the start of the season to what these girls showed the last few weeks winning 7 of the last 10 and more was some of the most fun I as a coach have been a part of. These girls officially made Sunday of state in 5th/6th place of 8u C state.

To the girls staying at 8u I know you will be rockstars, to the girls that may look for another spot I know you will rock it wherever you go, and to the girls moving to Prodigy Powers 9u I know we will cherish these moments and get to work building on it even more! To the families that have helped make the season incredible, I appreciate you and what you do and it truly matters so much.

Played some great pool play games in York to go 2-0 with some amazing fielding and big hits. They run ruled a team that beat them earlier in the season with a grand slam ending from Kendyll and then another home run on the day by Olivia!

We also found out the hard way that the mental game in sports is just as important as the physical game letting a few get by us in multiple ways in the Gold Bracket game and losing that one.

Girls finally found that elusive win they’ve been working hard for the last few weeks at our SLS games in Seward. One win and a tie with some timely hits and great outs in spots some girls aren’t super used to.
