KDCPA was established 1981 and is located just minutes from Providence, N. Providence, Lincoln, Cumberland, Central Falls, and Attleboro. Kats Dance Centre & Performing Arts mission is to provide professional dance instruction and instill an appreciation and passion for the art of dance. We believe every child deserves the chance to dance and we happily accommodate children with special needs and always have. We work hard to introduce and instill just the right amount of self-expression, discipline, and passion in each of our students. We offer classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pop Jazz, Tiny Tots, Tiny Tumble, Acro, Preschool, Theatre Arts, Yoga & Zumba (ages 20 months to adult)

Miss Ava has been dancing here at KDCPA since the young age of 2. She is following in her mom's footsteps as she was a Company Dancer with us for many years too. Miss Ava over her 10 years here has taken Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, Hip Hop, lyrical and Musical Theatre. She is a Company dancer and has been a member of our Competition Team for 4 years. She is fun to be around, loves to help out with our littles, she is supportive and we are delighted to have her on staff.

Miss Kaitlyn has been dancing at KDCPA for 7 years now, but has danced since she was 3 years old. She has taken Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, Hip-Hop, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. Miss Kaitlyn is a Sophomore in high school this year. She has worked hard over her 7 years, is currently a Company dancer and a member of our Competition team for 4 years.
Miss Kaitlyn is good with our little dancers, she is fun to be around, she is a good friend and we love having her for a staff member. .

Miss Chloe has been dancing here at KDCPA for 5 years, now on her 6th. She is currently a Freshman in high School. She has taken Hip-Hop, Ballet, Jazz and Acro. Miss Maddie has truly blossomed into an exceptional individual at KDCPA, where she began her dancing journey at just 2 years old. Her dedication to dance is matched only by her enthusiasm for sports, as she excels in basketball, tennis, and softball, and embraces the thrill of skiing each winter. Over the past six years, Miss Maddie has been a Company Dancer, and her talents have naturally extended into teaching, where she shines as both an Assistant Teacher. Her unique ability to connect with children, particularly those experiencing separation anxiety, showcases her nurturing spirit and ability to inspire joy in dance. Miss Keri has truly been a remarkable asset to KDCPA over the past 22 years. Her journey began as a dedicated parent, enrolling her daughters, Miss Kayla-Rose and Miss Bree, and later her son Jaydon. Miss Keri’s dedication to the KDCPA community has been transformative. Her role as the "Office Goddess" began with administrative tasks, but her influence soon became central to the studio's culture. She crafted stunning headpieces and altered costumes, helping each dancer feel special. Her thoughtful gestures—organizing celebrations or supporting families—showed her deep care for those around her. Miss Keri has uplifted the studio environment and fostered a sense of belonging and unity among the dancers and staff, leaving a lasting mark on the KDCPA community and we are thrilled she is here.

Miss Stacey has been an integral part of our dance family for over two decades, contributing her passion and dedication in numerous ways. As Miss Kat's sister-in-law and the proud mother of Miss Bella and Allie, who began their dance journey here as toddlers, she embodies the spirit and continuity of our community. Beyond her familial ties, Miss Stacey actively participates in our adult Jazz, Tap, and Ballet classes. Her role at the front desk, which she embraced a decade ago, is crucial in maintaining seamless communication with our families and ensuring the smooth operation of our studio. Miss Stacey’s presence in our studio staff has been invaluable, and her multifaceted contributions continue to enrich our dance environment.

We are welcoming Miss Chesney as a Teacher this season. She has been with KDCPA since she was two. She has worked hard over the years in her classes. She became a Company dancer, Assistant, and an Assistant Teacher. She graduated from Jacqueline M. Walsh School for Performing Arts and is now a Sophomore at RI College. We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Miss Casey, the newest addition to our teaching staff at KDCPA. With a B.A. in dance from Rhode Island College, Miss Casey is not only a talented dancer and performer but also a dedicated teacher. Her illustrious career includes performing with the Andary Dance Company at the esteemed Cunningham School in New York City and touring the northeast. She has shared the stage with Broadway luminaries such as Clay Rice-Thomson, Tyler Hanes, and Josh Strickland. As an educator, Miss Casey has enriched the dance programs at Rhode Island College, Dean College, and Salve Regina University, specializing in jazz and tap, and serving as the assistant rehearsal director for the RIC dance company. Her long-standing friendship with Miss Kat, forged over a decade ago at EDC, and her experience teaching Master Classes at KDCPA make her an invaluable asset to our community.
