Capital Aikikai has a lot to celebrate in 2023. Not only does this year mark our 50th year as a dojo, it also marks the 65th year of our founder, Clyde Takeguchi Shihan, training in aikido. And 2023 started with Takeguchi Sensei receiving his promotion to 8th dan. To cap all that, Clyde turns 80 in....

Practice this weekend will be led by Clyde Takeguchi Sensei and Bob Poresky Sensei!! Seminar classes begin Friday, April 14 at 6pm, Saturday, April 15 at 10am and 2pm, and Sunday, April 16 at 9am. Potluck that Saturday night about 6pm.

Looking forward to practicing with all who can make it this weekend!! For those making plans, the current seminar schedule will have class Friday night 7-9pm [dinner out as a group after], Saturday class 10-12 and 2-4 [potluck at the dojo], and class Sunday 10-12 with a Q&A session Sunday afternoon [small group dinner Sunday evening?] There are also some CAF yudansha tests to work in at instructor discretion for time.
