Our journey is complete. Yesterday we were tourists and took a bus tour to “the end of the world”. It was the perfect place to reflect on the magnitude of what we had accomplished. Looking out at the Atlantic Ocean gave us both a sense of peace as we end this part of the Camino. As we have been told….now the real magic of the Camino begins. Ultreia!!!

From Palais de Rei to Arzua to O’Pedrouza. The end is right around the corner. We have been reunited with some of our Camino family from the early stages and it just reminds us of how magical this place is. It truly is the friendships you make as you take each step together to the ultimate goal of arriving in Santiago. And we finally have sunshine again which has given us renewed energy to make it the rest of the way.

17 miles today from Portomarin to Palas de Reis!
It was a sweet day, we ran into some Camino Friends.
That helped personalize the experience and damper the disappointment of dealing with droves of people.

It is amazing this trail, while spending 5 or so km with people you “really” learn about them . What would take months, years or never get shared gets shared.
The veil is down. It is the magic and brilliance of the Camino.

Recognizing that we are at the end of our journey is bitter-sweet. While we are happy to be done and to see our cherished loved ones we are sad to say goodbye to this incredible journey.

Sarria to Portomarin. Only 5 days left to go. It was a different Camino today. Many people start at Sarria and walk the last 100 Km so that they can receive thier compestela so it was a bit crowded. However, it’s amazing how you still can run across friends that you haven’t seen in days, even amongst the new faces.

Loving these mountains!
Not crazy about facing the many —- they coach us to be patient and extend a warm heart to all these new pilgrims - here goes ! Seeing the Gain not the Gap!

15 miles in the most stunning Galician Mountains !
Truly a peaceful place . Imagine looking out over green fields and little villages deep in the heart of these Grand Mountains as far as your eyes can see!!!
And cows, and sheep, and goats and herding dogs—- who needs an ATV in these mountains .
It’s like stepping back I time .
And the people ——the Spanish people are so gracious and friendly - almost always willing to extend a warm welcome !!!
