One of the names that Barcelona had circled earlier in the year is Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has vowed to pay the biggest transfer fee in the club's history if he is re-elected, with three stars reportedly under consideration to become their latest 'Galactico' signing.

Perez, who has confirmed Jose Mourinho will be appointed as manager if re-elected, has now vowed to make an offer of around 150 million euros (£130m) for an attacking player.

The 79-year-old made the claim on Spanish TV show Horizonte, but denied Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, Man City's Jeremy Doku or Haaland were under consideration.

• THIS SHOULD REDUCE unnecessary play, frustration, and the risk of injuries caused by delayed offside calls.

• HUMAN OFFICIALS will still make the final decision and can ignore the alert if they think something is wrong.

Florentino Perez confirms Dumfries and Liverpool defender will join Real Madrid

Florentino Perez confirms Denzel Dumfries will join Real Madrid if he’s re-elected as the Merengues’ President:

‘He’s a very good right-back.’

Perez confirmed the deal in an interview with Horizonte on Thursday night, adding that his plans include welcoming José Mourinho as the new coach and Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté on a free transfer.

“We’ve talked about Mourinho and Konaté, right? Well, now I’m going to talk about Dumfries, who is a very good right-back,” Perez said.

“I can already tell you about those three signings, but we’re going to have more, in many other positions.”

Perez also added that he’d make a big-money offer for another player next week, if he wins the presidential elections on June 7.

“On Tuesday, we will make an offer for a player that would be the biggest transfer fee Real Madrid have ever paid in history.

“We’ll make the offer to a major Champions League club. It’s not Haaland, it’s not Olise, it’s not Kane, it’s not Doku, and he doesn’t play in the Premier League. We will offer €150m. He is a true Galactico-level player.”

Real Madrid will activate Dumfries’ €20m release clause to sign him from Inter. The Netherlands international, who will feature at the World Cup this summer, has already undergone medical tests with the Merengues while on international duty.

Man City threatens legal action against Real Madrid following Haaland claim

Manchester City is considering legal action after Real Madrid presidential ⁠candidate Enrique Riquelme ⁠said he would sign the Premier League club’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland if elected.

“The stories which ⁠have emerged from Spain regarding the future of Erling Haaland are untrue,” a City spokesperson said on Thursday.

“There is no chance of this happening, and there is no contractual clause to enable it. We are considering legal action for ‌the use of our player’s image in this context.”

Riquelme said Haaland, who scored 38 goals in all competitions last season, had a release clause and wanted to move to the Spanish club, adding that he would make the transfer a priority if he wins Sunday’s election.
