Triple Crown SlumpBuster 2026 was an amazing experience for our Legends and families! 1st time competing in this tournament and it did not disappoint.

Game One vs Twitty City from Gallatin, Tennessee.
Started of SB against a top notch Twitty City squad who could swing it and ended up finishing 2nd overall in the tournament, losing in the Championship game. While the game didn't go our way with a lopsided 19-4 loss, we came out swinging when Ashton Bailey led off the game with a walk, and Kale Sjuts hit a 2 run HR to get us up right away in our first game of the tourney. While we couldn't match TC HR for HR, we did add a second when Kale walked and Drasyn Dubbs blasted his 1st HR of the year.

Game Two vs MASH from Eagan, Minnesota.
Another 2 run HR from Drasyn "Austin Riley" Dubbs, this time following a Grady Gubbels walk, got us out to a strong start. MASH tied it up in the bottom half of the inning, just to have us retake the lead 3-2 on a Keegan Novotny SAC Fly following a Maddux Beckmann double and steal of 3rd. MASH then took advantage of some free bases and scored 5 in their half of the 2nd, making the score 7-3. In Prodigy Legends style, we took that deficit and erased it in the top half of the 3rd as the 1st 9 hitters all reached base, helping us to score 7 of our own to retake the lead 10-7. Starting at the top of the lineup with Ashton Bailey who walked, Kale Sjuts singled, Grady Gubbels walked, Drasyn Dubbs RBI single, Gates Gebhardt laid down the perfect bunt down 3rd base line and beat it out for a bunt single, Ablel Keim then got hit by a pitch for an RBI, Maddux Beckmann laced a 2 RBI single, Keegan Novotny walked, and Jack Collins finished things off with an RBI single. Keegan then entered the game on the mound, needing to get 3 outs before the drop dead time limit reached (we had a rain delay that changed time limit to 1:30 and drop dead, meaning if we went over the score would have reverted back to the last completed inning and we would have been on the wrong side of a 7-3 completion of the 2nd). MASH fought back with a single, followed by an out, and then a double to the RCF wall to cut it to 10-8, but the relay from Abel in right nabbed the runner trying to stretch it to a triple and got us 1 out away as time continued to tick away. Finally, as time expired, Keegan recorded a strikeout and we earned a hard fought W.

Game Three vs SBA Red from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
First game of Pool Play that the results were recorded for bracket seeding as the first two lightning rounds games were just exhibition to get some extra games in. This time the defense set the table for an exciting game as following a walk, Kale Sjuts gunned down a runner attempting to steal, and we rode that momentum into our turn to hit as Ashton led the game off with a single, and Kale blasted a ball over the left field fence for the early 2-0 lead and gave the boys all the confidence to swing it the rest of the game. Not done in the 1st, with 2 outs and Drasyn Dubbs on 3rd and Abel Keim on 2nd, Maddux Beckmann laced a hot shot down 1st base line that 1st base couldn't handle to score them both and put us up 4. After 2 quick outs, SBA rallied with a walk and double, but Gates Gebhardt ended the threat by getting the next hitter to ground out to Jack Collins at second base. Cooper Hood started things off with a walk and steal in the 2nd and scored on a hard hit by Ashton up the middle. Kale brought Ash home with a single, Grady brought Kale home with a single and Gates finished the scoring with an RBI single to go up 8-0. Top of the 3rd resulted in another SBA rally thwarted by our boys. A walk and single had two runners on and they moved into scoring position. A wild pitch had SBA first run on the way home, but great effort from catcher Kale Sjuts tosses the ball to pitcher Gates covering and got the out at home. This saved us a run as the next hitter had an RBI double. We ended the threat and any hope of a SBA comeback when Kale backpicked the runner at 2nd base, nailing him with a throw to 2nd basemen Jack Collins. Jack added to our lead with an RBI single scoring Maddux in the 3rd (9-1). Another single and walk to start the SBA 4th, and another play to stop the rally. Jack Collins snagged a line drive at second and tossed it to SS Ashton Bailey for a double play. Still not done, SBA loaded the bases but a line drive to Drasyn Dubbs at 3rd ended the inning. Looking to finish the game early by 10 run rule, back to back doubles from Sjuts and Grady Gubbels got us to 9, and Gates finished it off with a single.

Game 4 vs Keller Indians from Fort Worth, Texas.
Down 2-0, Kale Sjuts followed an Ashton Bailey walk with another 2 run HR and got things tied up. Looking to add on, this time it was our rally that was thwarted when we hit into a double play. Keller was able to regain the lead with some clutch 2 out hitting of their own, scoring 5 all with 2 outs. They went on to add 2 more with another 2 out hit and we found ourselves down 9-2 in the 3rd. We scored 2 ourselves to make it 9-4, but quickly fell behind 12-4 and eventually 13-5 heading into the last inning. Needing to get everyone to the plate to make things interesting, our boys fought and did just that. Our 1st 4 hitters reached base, scored 3 on a single from Gates Gebhardt and fielder's choice/error on a Maddux Beckmann ground ball, we were able to extend the inning with 2 outs as Cooper Hood walked to keep our hopes alive. Ashton walked bringing the score to 13-9, bases loaded, 2 outs, but the rally stopped there as Keller induced a ground ball out to end the game 13-9.

Game 5 vs Brookfield East Jr Spartans from Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Going 1-1 in pool play earned us the 27th seed overall and placed us in the Plantinum bracket (teams seeded 17-32). A 9 hour rain delay pushed back what should have been an 8AM game to 5PM, and our boys focus and energy were to be tested. They passed this test with flying colors as we earned a huge 15-3 victory with Grady Gubbels throwing 4 strong innings and the bats coming alive in the 5th as we scored 10 to put the game away. 0-0 after the first inning, Grady pitched the team out of trouble as he recorded a strikeout looking with bases loaded and we used that momentum to springboard us into the lead. Maddux Beckmann laced an opposite field single to start the inning and while stealing second, Abel Keim roped an opposite field triple to get us on the board! We added 2 more in the 3rd on a Kale Sjuts RBI single scoring Ashton Bailey and a Grady Gubbels SAC Fly. 2 more in the 4th had us up 5-1, and the we broke the game wide open in the 5th scoring 10 and put the game out of reach. Grady started things off with a single, and Drasyn Dubbs followed up with a single of his own. Gates Gebhardt, fresh off his first SAC bunt of the year on Thursday, executed another SAC to move the runners. A walk to Maddux loaded the bases, walk to Abel Keim kept them loaded, and Jack Collins lined a 2 RBI single. Keegan Novotny loaded them back up with a single and Cooper Hood brought home two on a hard hit ball, that was matched with another hard hit ball from Ashton Bailey to score another. Kale Sjuts walked to reload the bases for Grady who's hit by pitch scored one, and Dubby's double scored 2. Our final run of the inning was from another SAC from Gates, this time the SAC Fly variety. The game ended on a fielder's choice where Ashton Bailey fielded the ball in the hole and fired it to Dubbs at 3rd, something we've been working on for a while so was fun to see us execute. 15-3 victory kept us alive in the Platinum bracket.

Game 6 vs Papillion StormChasers Gold from Papio, Nebraska.
In a rematch from a prior tournament where the ball game went into 2 extra inning California Rules, we squared off against a solid SC team for a spot in the semi finals. SC threatened right away in their half of the 1st, when they had bases loaded and already 1 in, when SP Gates Gebhardt settled in and struck out the hitter looking on a nasty breaking ball, not settling for just the K, catcher Kale Sjuts fired it down to Drasyn Dubbs to nab the runner on a back pick to squash the threat. We got our own rally started with a Maddux Beckmann walk, Abel Keim HBP and Jack Collins QAB RBI ground out tied the game. Cooper Hood walked and Ashton Bailey singles to load the bases but the LF handled a laser line drive by Kale Sjuts to end the inning. In the top of the 3rd, Grady Gubbels found himself in an 0-2, but fought his way back to 3-2 and as we always say, we are just "one pitch" away, he smoked that one pitch for a HR and the lead! We got another run in and up 3-1 but not for long. The wheels could have came off in the bottom of the 3rd. Our usually salty defense had some uncharacteristic errors, combined with a 2 run HR of their own and SC took a 5-3 lead. But the wheels stayed on, and we got right to work on mounting our comeback. Keegan Novotny singled to lead off the inning, Ashton Bailey and Kale Sjuts walked to load the bases and then Grady Gubbels tied the game back up with a 2 RBI double. Not done there, Drasyn Dubbs said "Adios Beisbol" and hit a 3 run shot, 3rd HR of the tourney, and put us in the lead for good 8-5! Grady took over on the bump after Gates gave us 3 solid innings, and quickly went 3 up 3 down and got us right back to hitting. Wasting no time to add on, Keegan again led off with a single, a sac bunt by Cooper Hood turned into a bunt single with how perfectly placed it was and we scored again on an Ashton Bailey single. Kale was walked to reload the bases and Grady deposited the 2-0 pitch over the CF wall for a GRAND SLAM! Not done yet, Maddux Beckmann doubled, Abel Keim got hit by a pitch and Jack Collins finished the scoring with an RBI single and score of 14-5. Looking to end the game via run rule, Papio fought back and loaded the bases with 1 out, when Grady buckled down and got back to back strikeouts to send us to the Platinum Bracket Semi Finals.

Game 7 vs Iowa Sticks from Waukee, Iowa.
Not able to sustain the momentum from our previous game, we found ourselves in an early hole. A hot hitting Sticks squad jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead after one, and showed just how they scored 26, 3 (outlier), 14 and 15 in their previous games. We had our chances early, but couldn't take advantage of the free bases. We were able to settle in and Drasyn Dubbs pitched a scoreless 2nd inning to show that we were able to keep them off the scoreboard. That bit of confidence helped us to break up the goose egg in the top of the 3rd as Kale Sjuts walked (1 of 4 in the game) and made his way around the bases with steals and passed balls and scored. Iowa added 3 in their half of the 3rd and had a chance for more but Ashton Bailey threw out a runner trying to steal 2nd. That caught stealing lit a fire in our bats and we came out swinging in the 4th. Abel Keim and Jack Collins started the inning and got on base when Keegan Novotny added a sac bunt single to get them loaded. RBI single from Cooper Hood, 2 RBI double from Ashton Bailey and we scored 3, then Kale Sjuts walked to reload the bases. This time things were GRAND off the bat of Drasyn Dubbs and his 2nd HR of the day, 4th of the tourney, had us within a run. Gates Gebhardt, joined in the HR fun and went back to back with Dubby to tie the game! Now a tie game, Abel Keim entered the game on the mound and got 2 quick outs in the bottom of the 4th. An error scored 1 and gave Iowa some extra swings and they took advantage and had a 2 run blast of their own, going back on top by 3. After a quick 3 up 3 down for our boys in the top of the 5th, we were now not only competing against the Sticks but the clock as well. Roughly 8 minutes to play as the inning started and Iowa began with single. Jack Collins, may have made the defensive play of the tournament, given the situation and our backs up against the wall, made a diving stop on a ground ball, stepped on 2nd, fired to first for a double play and gave us hope to get to bat again. A single and double later, we are now down 13-9 and under 2 minutes to go, Abel nails down the final out with a backwards K to give us one last chance to bat. A quick ground out had us 2 outs away from going home, but we weren't ready to bow out just yet. Kale Sjuts worked his 4th walk of the game, followed by walks to Gubbels and Dubbs to load the bases. A HR in his previous at bat, Gates singled this time to score 1. A passed ball and error scored 2 and had us within one with Gates on 3rd. A Maddux Beckmann bloop single wasn't enough to score Gates as we had to wait to see if the ball would be caught or not, so we had runners on the corners with 1 out. Another out and it was down to Jack Collins, who hit a tough fly ball to 2nd base, who actually missed it, just to be saved and caught by the SS who had hustled over and snagged it at his shoe strings to end the game.

On the weekend we went 4-3 with losses to the eventual Gold Bracket runner up, and loss to the eventual Platinum Bracket champion. We earned a 3rd place finish in the Platinum Bracket which placed us 19th out of 68 total teams. Beyond proud of our first SlumpBuster showing and had such a great experience.

Stop me if you heard this before....maybe just a day ago. In game one of today's SlumpBuster tournament, leadoff hitter Ashton Bailey gets on base, and Kale Sjuts follows it up with a 2 run blast!!!! This jump started our bats to tally 13 hits and 11 runs for an 11-1 victory where starting pitcher Gates Gebhardt went 3 strong innings only allowing that one run while striking out 3.

In game two, leadoff hitter Ashton Bailey walked to get on base, and Kale Sjuts followed it up with a 2 run blast!!!! No that is not a typo, for the 3rd time in 4 games, Ashton Bailey set the table in our first at bat and Kale Sjuts cleared it. Unfortunately, this game turned out like game one, where we couldn't keep up in the high scoring affair. Down 9-2 entering the 3rd, and 13-5 in the last inning, the boys continued to fight, finding a way to narrow the score to 13-9 with bases loaded and two outs, our opponents were able to end the rally with a ground out.

We will be back at it tomorrow in Omaha bright and early at 8AM as we start SlumpBuster Bracket Play!

USA Prime Prodigy Legends take on Omaha SlumpBuster Tournament for the first time and things started with a bang 💣! Kale Sjuts left the yard after an Ashton Bailey walk in the 1st inning of SB. Drasyn Dubbs went out of the park dead center for a 2 run dinger of his own to join the Lincoln Prodigy Baseball Academy HR Club . Unfortunately in game one, a very solid Twitty City squad hit their own fair share of HRs and we couldn’t keep up, dropping our opener. In game 2 vs MASH, it took a few more batters than game one, this time Dubby in the 4 hole following a Grady Gubbels walk, and hit it out of the park again! After falling behind 7-3 after 2, the bats caught fire and stayed lit scoring 7 in the top of the third before Keegan Novonty entered the game in relief and earned the save 10-8! More pool play games tomorrow, playing at 12&2!

2026 Columbus Mariners Mothers Day Weekend Champions! The boys competed their butts off and came away as champs with a 4-0-1 record, and did so for the 3rd straight Mother's Day Weekend! This weekend the team battled, grinded, gritted, never gave in and found a way time after time, pitch after pitch, inning after inning.

Game One: 7-7 Tie vs Titan Bombers Red.
The boys started the weekend off with an thrilling game where it came down to not only the last inning, not only the last out, but also the last strike, in multiple at bats and the boys rallied to earn a tie, and set the tone for the weekend that we were never out of the fight, and who cares what the scoreboard says, we were going to play the game the right way and give it everything we got until time expired. Right off the bat, Bombers jumped out to a quick 3 run lead after their half of the 1st inning, and like we did most weekend, we answered right back, with 2 runs of our own. It was a trend that you'd see all weekend though, that most the time when our opponent scored, we were quick to respond. The top of the 2nd was a back and forth battle, with Bombers getting the best of us. Walk, strike out, hit by pitch, walk had the bases loaded for the Bombers. Gates buckled down and struck out the next batter, setting up a bases loaded, 2 out showdown with the 3 hole hitter. Geared up for a fastball, the hitter smoked an opposite field Grand Slam to go up 7-1 lead. In the bottom half of the inning, things looked like we would get those runs right back, as Abel Keim started things off with a single and Jack Collins followed with a walk, so 2 on and nobody out, but we came away with nothing. Needing to put up a zero, Gates locked in and became almost unhittable the rest of the way. Scoreless top of the 3rd where we worked out of some trouble due with a couple walks, was followed by a 3 up 3 down 3 strikeout top of the 4th. Another strikeout to start the 5th, gave Gates 4 in a row and his 9th on the day and a caught stealing by Kale Sjuts to Drasyn Dubbs at 3rd kept the Bombers at 7, keeping them scoreless for the final 3 innings. Finding a way to scratch, claw, and fight our way back into the game, we scored 1 in the 3rd on a Maddux Beckmann single up the middle scoring courtesy runner Bentley Miller. After going 1,2,3 ourselves in the 4th, we found ourselves down 7-3 and entering the last inning. Kale Sjuts opposite field laser homerun, ignited the spark for us to get back into the game. Grady Gubbels followed the HR with a double and Gates Gebhardt added a single to put runners on the corners with one out and down 3. Now with runners on 2nd and 3rd after a ground out, Keegan Novotny was up at the plate with 2 outs needing to find a way to keep things rolling. He did just that, working a walk while being down to his last strike and loading the bases while putting himself on base as the tying run. Cooper Hood found himself in a 2-2 count then earned his way on base with a RBI walk of his own to cut the lead to 2. Abel Keim stepped up to the plate and drove a 2-1 pitch into right field to bring in 2 and tie the game! We weren't able to scratch across the final run to earn the walk off victory, but were proud of the fight we showed to come away with the tie due to time limit expiring.

Game Two: 10-9 Victory Over Omaha Gladiators Black
After our late inning magic in game one, we found ourselves needing early inning magic in game two. Gladiators took advantage of 3 walks to open the game and brought 2 across the plate. Credit to Pitcher Drasyn Dubbs and our defense for limiting the damage in that situation. After a quick bottom half of the inning, we put up a zero ourselves in the top of the 2nd, setting up a big 2nd inning for the Legends. 7 runs, highlighted by an Abel Keim RBI double scoring Keegan Novotny, Cooper Hood steal of home, Bentley Miller 2 our RBI single and a Grady Gubbels RBI single, we took control of the game. Gladiators answered right back with 4 of their own the next inning to cut our lead to 1, and Cooper Hood entered the game in relief with the tying run on base, but stranded due to an inning ending strikeout. 2 out train got rolling in the bottom of the 3rd, with our boys taking advantage of some free bases of our own. Ashton Bailey hit by pitch, Keegan walk and we were able to bring both of them around to score, giving us a 3 run lead. Cooper worked a quiet top of the 4th, and we tacked on an additional insurance run that ended up being the final tally we needed to maintain the lead and finish with the W. Down 4, Gladiators fought back and made things tense with a double, single, triple and score now 10-8 with a runner on third. Enter "Fireman/Closer" Grady Gubbels to extinguish the Gladiators hopes of a comeback. Grady got the first batter he faced to ground out to 2nd baseman Jack Collins for out one, although it did score the 9th run. G got the next two batters to strikeout, earning the save.

Game Three: 14-1 Victory vs Blair Cubs
Game three on the day, after playing two and sitting one, the bats were hot, scoring 5 in the top of the 1st, 3 in the 2nd and 6 in the 4th. Keegan Novotney threw all 4 innings for the Legends on 66 pitches, allowing 1 run with 3 strikeouts. The two out train was rolling again for our boys, as we scored 4 of our 5 first inning runs all with 2 outs. Maddux Beckmann stole home, Ashton Bailey RBI single, Cooper Hood 2 RBI single. We added 2 more 2 out runs in the 2nd with Gates Gebhardt scoring Drasyn Dubbs and Maddux scoring Gates. Keeping the trend and 2 out train rolling, 4 more 2 out runs in the 4th. Grady Gubbels single, Gates double, Maddux walk, Ashton with the big 2 RBI 2 out triple, and wrapped up with a Novotny single.

Game Four: 6-5 WALK OFF Mother's Day Victory vs Columbus Outlaws
Big shout out to our moms for assisting in pre game warm ups to get us ready for what turned out to be an awesome game with an awesome finish! The excitement started early as the Outlaws jumped out to a fast 2-0 lead in the first, and had the chance for more as the 3 hole hitter hit a double into center field, as he was attempting to stretch it into a triple, the combination of Maddux Beckmann to Ashton Bailey to Drasyn Dubbs relayed the ball in forcing a run down, where Jack Collins got involved and aided in "pickling" the runner down for the out. This was a major play in the game, already in just the 1st inning, as the next batter singled, which would have scored a runner from 2nd or 3rd, and could have been the difference between the win, a tie or potentially a loss. Back to back doubles in our half of the 1st by Kale Sjuts and Grady Gubbels and it was 2-1 after 1. The Outlaws had the 2 out magic in the 3rd, when they took advantage of 2 walks and scored 3 extending their lead to 5-1. Our boys wasted no time in responding, this time with Ashton Bailey getting on via walk, and not staying on for very long as Kale Sjuts blasted his 2nd bomb of the weekend, getting us back within striking distance at 5-3. Single, single, single from Grady Gubbels, Drasyn and Gates Gebhardt and the game was tied! Our "Fireman/Closer" Gubbels entered the game with 2 on and 1 out, gave up a single to the first batter he faced to load the bases. Remaining confident with his "bull" mentality, Grady proceeded to record back to back K's to end the Outlaw threat. Fast forward to the next Outlaw at bat, they had some momentum, earning back to back singles and the go ahead runners on base. Again, channeling his inner "bull" Grady struck out the next 3 batters to keep the game tied and send us into the bottom of the 5th with a chance for some heroics. Drasyn Dubbs led off with a walk, getting the winning run on base. Gates walked and we had 2 on with 1 out. Intentional walk to Keegan Novotny loaded the bases for Cooper Hood, and Koopa Troopa delivered the game ending blow with a single to right field, scoring pinch runner Bentley Miller and the game was ours, remaining undefeated, setting up a true championship game vs the PaceSetters in the 5th and final game of the tournament!

Game Five: 12-7 Victory vs PaceSetters
We entered the game at 3-0-1 while the PaceSetters were 3-1, setting up a true Championship game even in the round robin style of play. A win, and we finish as undefeated champs, a loss and PaceSetters earn 1st place with the head to head victory. PaceSetters came out swinging and punched us in the mouth right away. Single and triple and we were down after 2 batters. Similar to the game vs the Outlaws, where the runner tried to stretch a double into a triple. the PaceSetters batter tried stretching his triple into a homerun and the relay from Keegan Novotny to Jack Collins to Ashton Bailey to catcher Kale Sjuts got him out, which again was big because the next batter singled and he would have scored. We came out and answered immediately in the bottom half of the inning scoring 4 (we scored 4 in all 3 of the innings when we hit). Ashton Bailey and Kale Sjuts singled to start the game, Drasyn Dubbs hard hit to SS scoring them both, Maddux Beckmann singled scoring Drasyn and Gates Gebhardt and we had the lead right back. After 2 quick outs in the 2nd, the PaceSetters ignited and found a way to score 5 in the inning, taking the lead back from us. As previously mentioned, it didn't last long as we scored 4 in the bottom of the second to get right back on top. Bases loaded RBI single from Ashton, RBI single from Kale tied the game and Grady gave us the lead back for good on a hard hit RBI fielders choice. Dubbs tacked on an insurance run with a QAB groundout of his own to make it 8-6. Our final rally where we scored 4, Cooper Hood single, Abel Keim walk after falling behind 1-2 in the count, Jack Collins 2 strike 2 out RBI single, Bentley Miller 2 strike 2 out 2 RBI double, Ashton Bailey 2 strike 2 out RBI single. Maddux Beckmann went the distance on the mound attacking the strike zone, leaning on our salty defense, and competing through adversity. After allowing 6 through 2 innings of play, with the PaceSetters swinging the bats well, Beckmann settled down and held them scoreless for the final two innings. The last play of the game defensivley for our boys was a good representation of the fight, effort, and picking teammates up that we displayed all weekend. Maddux was struck with a comebacker up the middle, Jack Collins, never giving up on the play, snagged a short hop, fired it across to Grady Gubbels at first who picked it out of the dirt for the final out. The game ended in the bottom of the 4th due to time, and our boys were champions!!!!

We are back in action tonight at Plattsmouth for a midweek game and compete in the Lincoln Rebels tournaments this weekend out at Sandhills and hope to see you there or tuning in via GC!

Thank you to Lincoln Arsenal for scheduling us in a double dip this past Saturday. Originally a weekend off for us, after only 1 game due to weather the previous weekend, we were looking for some games to get some innings, pitches, and swings in. The biggest swing of the day came from Grady Gubbels with his first "over the fence/into the soon to be corn field" at Arsenal's own "Field Of Dreams"! It came in a clutch spot as well. After getting up to a 5 run, 7-2 lead, Arsenal cut the lead to 1 in the bottom of the 5th. Grady, not only stepped up big with the leadoff blast to begin the 6th, but also came in to close the game and put out a fire to end the bottom of the 5th. After cutting the game to 1, with runners on second and third, Grady entered and closed the door on the inning with a K, and the game with 3 K's in the bottom half of the 6th. We will be back for game three with Arsenal on Wed, in Sandhills league play, followed by a Mother's Day weekend tournament in Columbus!

Short recap this week as we were defeated by the rain and wet field conditions and forecast of more rain which held us to 1 game.

10-4 Victory over the Lincoln Rebels. The boys jumped out to a quick 4 run first and never looked back. Leadoff double by Maddux Beckmann followed by a walk to Kale Sjuts, came around to score on a triple from Gates Gebhardt! Drasyn Dubbs RBI double right after and Grady Gubbels entered the game as the courtesy runner for our pitcher Drasyn and scored on a single from Taben Tessendorf. Rebels scored 2 quick ones of their own in the bottom half of the inning. 1,2,3 innings by both squads took us to the top of the 3rd. Leading off the inning, Maddux knocked a single and another 3 bagger, this time by Gubbels brought him in. Gates singled bringing Grady home and the lead was 6-2. 2 out rally produced 1 for the Rebels and cut it to 3 headed to the 4th. Ashton Bailey led off the inning with a single, made his way around the bases and scored on a Cooper Hood single. Abel Keim found his way on base and Jack Collins got plunked to load the bases for Keegan Novotny who singled scoring Hood. Single from Maddux scored Abel and we had a 9-3 lead. No runs for the Rebels and in the 5th Gates led off with a walk and was brought in immediately by another triple, this time from Drasyn Dubbs. Dubby went 5 innings on the bump, throwing all 5 inning on 58 pitches and earned the win.

We attempted to start game two vs USA Prime United, but only made it an inning, and then wet home plate field conditions kept us off the field on Sunday.

We are back Wed. vs Gretna Thunder 11U in Sandhills league at 7:30 and a newly scheduled DH vs Lincoln Arsenal on Saturday at 12 & 2.
