Third-Inning Burst Enough To Lead S**o Past Lincoln Minors All Star

S**o defeated Lincoln Minors All Star 12-2 on Thursday at Current Location thanks in part to eight runs in the third inning.

A ground out by Dylan B put Lincoln Minors All Star on the board in the top of the first.

Lincoln Minors All Star added one run in the second after Cruz A walked.

S**o flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring eight runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.

#12 earned the win for S**o. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking three. Bodon L took the loss for Lincoln Minors All Star. The starter went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering seven runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out four and walking four. #28 started on the hill for S**o. The hurler surrendered two hits and two runs (zero earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking one.

Bodon, Hudson P, and Leo D each collected one hit for Lincoln Minors All Star. Dylan and Cruz each drove in one run for Lincoln Minors All Star.

#2 provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led S**o with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-1 on the day. Leadoff hitter #28 led S**o with two hits in three at bats. S**o had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. #2 and #17 led the team with two walks each. S**o turned one double play in the game.

Lincoln Minors All Star Defeats Machias On Back Of Clutch Display From Dylan B

Dylan B drove in four runs on three hits to lead Lincoln Minors All Star past Machias 11-7 on Wednesday at Brewer. Dylan singled in the first scoring two, singled in the fourth scoring two, and singled in the fifth scoring two.

Lincoln Minors All Star jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Dylan singled, scoring two runs, and #1 induced Leo D to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

#5 grounded into a fielder's choice, which helped Machias tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.

Lincoln Minors All Star took the lead, 6-3, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to singles by Dylan, and Leo.

Lincoln Minors All Star scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Carter T singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Bodon L singled, scoring one run, and Dylan singled, scoring two runs.

Cruz A earned the win for Lincoln Minors All Star. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and four runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking five. #1 took the loss for Machias. The starter went four innings, surrendering six runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out five and walking none. Elliot B appeared in relief for Lincoln Minors All Star.

Lincoln Minors All Star accumulated 11 hits in the game. Bodon, Hudson P, and Leo each collected multiple hits for Lincoln Minors All Star.

#1 provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Machias with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. #50, #1, and #2 each collected one hit for Machias.

Lincoln Maine Little League is for girls and boys ages 9-12 in the greater Lincoln area. Our Softball and Baseball programs are completely run by volunteers. The parents running the snack shack, umpires calling the games, the coaches, and the board of directors all volunteer their time and energy to make our program fun and successful, year after year.

We are grateful for all of our generous sponsors who help our program thrive. We love watching ‘our kids’ grow as people and players on and off the field. Our coaches are committed to teaching the fundamentals of the game and how to be good sports.
