This is a copy of my Prairie Bowmen newsletter article.
Greetings, fellow archers.
At the reading of this article the team shoot/3D shoot will have already taken place.
The participation level at this event will have determined whether this format will continue or if this is the last one.
I have spent the last 5 yrs or so attempting to create events that are fun and challenging to benefit both new and seasoned shooters.
Although, I sincerely appreciate the shooters that have attended these events and I truly enjoy the smiles and the compliments from everyone.
The attendance is extremely poor compared with the time, labor and care that goes in to creating these events.
The workers that show up to assist with set up and tear down rarely shoot in these events but help because they believe in the obligation as an Archery Club to provide a quality event for those that come to shoot.
I'm not a marketing person so maybe the low attendance is my inability to 'get the word out'
Effectively to all that would participate if they knew about the event. The events are on the state calender as well as Prairie Bowmen's website, Prairie Bowmen's page and my own page. If you have ideas as to how to better advertise I would appreciate any feedback.
As always, keeps your eyes peeled for the opportunities to 'do something kind for someone every day....just because you can'.
