For the FastCAT crowd:
"Labels for ribbons are designed to print on a 1" x 3" thermal roll printer, fed horizontally. Select the label printer below, and set the margins to ~100 twips on all sides. The label printer for the selected report can be different than your default printer if you have both connected. You can select "AutoPrint" to print a label after every result is entered or print a label by selecting a record and clicking the "Print" button or pressing "CTRL + SHIFT + P"."

Field testing it this weekend and will push a new version up after that. Calculated "speed" on the test scoring page as well. Look forward to this and several other fixes in 1.9.1.

LCSoft 1.8.7 is Released!

Several bug fixes which have been vexing users such as the "Error retrieving objects" when creating a trial and the "Cannot hide control with focus." Also added CSV export for AKC CAT's as well.

I've added information about Upgrading LCSoft! On the Backups, Maintenance & Updates page of the website, there's a section on Relinking. Relinking can be used to switch the LCSoft frontend application to a different backend database. This is super handy if you're only upgrading a patch version, so 1.8.2->1.8.5 and don't need to pull data from one backend database and pump it into another. It also allows two Field Trial Clerks to use the same backend database on a network share; especially useful for large events like AKC NLCC's and ASFA II's.

Hot on the heels of 1.8.4, LCSoft 1.8.5 is up!
In this version: A few little fixes to the FastCAT CSV export and for an elusive hiding focus fields error. If you're running FastCAT's, I would definitely recommend getting this version.

Thanks, AKC, for the online secretary report for CAT's and FastCAT's; you can now open that webpage prepopulated with your LCSoft data. The Event Report in fillable PDF has been fixed for users without Acrobat Standard/Pro, so it should work on anything that can open a .xfdf file, such as Reader. CSV was recently changed by the AKC and should be in the new format. Check out the video for a quick demo!

1.7.0 Released!

Several new features added such as the ASFA Event Report and Multiple Tabs. The program has also been approved to perform an electronic draw at ASFA Trials by the ASFA Board, so we're legal now in all venues!

Big changes coming down the pipe for CAT's and FastCAT's: The ability to have multiple tests open at once. So if your club is running 2 CAT's and 2 FastCAT's on a day, you'll be able to have all four tests open in tabs and simply tab between them. When a dog runs a back-to-back FastCAT's, no more open test, enter score, close test, switch test, open test, enter second score... Hope this makes your test days a little more fluid! (This will also apply for Trials and the TrialScoring form) Stay tuned for 1.7.0!
