📢 MUAY THAI GUEST INSTRUCTOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Join us Monday, September 14th for our regularly scheduled 7:45pm Muay Thai class featuring Guest Instructor Lonnie: Lonnie Beck!

Lonnie brings 20+ years of martial arts experience as a practitioner, coach, fighter and business owner. He currently serves as the President of USA Muay Thai and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the mats.

This class is free for all New Asgard students, and drop-ins are welcome for $30. Come train, learn, and take advantage of the opportunity to work with an experienced Muay Thai coach.

We are excited to officially announce John Wunder in as our newest addition to the coaching roster at NAMA. John will be teaching the Friday night Muay Thai class, and will be a valued training partner. John adds a ton of experience to the team with 15+ amateur fights, pro Muay Thai + Kickboxing experience, and plenty of coaching experience.

Kevin will be coming back to Monday nights, and Kyle will continue Saturdays!

Saturday 9/5: Closed

Sunday 9/6: Comp class running as scheduled. No wrestling class

Monday 9/7: No scheduled classes, open mat/open sparring at 6pm. Open to all affiliations and kids invited. Bring a friend and come through!

Word of the Week: “Curiosity”. This past weekend some of the NAMA crew went to Miami to train at two of the premier schools in the country to see how they’re operating and bring that knowledge back.

We are very thankful for the hospitality and knowledge transfer. We can’t wait to see how the Rochas and Sainz perform at ADCC.

Here are 3 challenges from the coaching staff at NAMA:
1. Ask One More Question: In every class, push beyond the first answer. Ask why, how, or what if?
2. Learn Beyond the Assignment : Choose one topic that catches your attention this week and spend 15 minutes exploring on your own it simply because you want to know more.
3. Look for examples : Study fight and match film to see examples of what you’re learning or working on.

Never lose your hunger to learn. There is always more to discover. ⚡️

Efrain Garcia and Aaleyah Estevez took the trip to Vegas for the first ever UFC BJJ Opens , both returning with medals.

Aaleyah bounced back from a first round loss, subbing her way into 3rd place - also notching submission #100 on the year for the team.

Not to be outdone, Efrain was able to secure wins via darce and points to take second, also helping to coach Aaleyah.

Another great outing for the team.
