It was a great couple days of the 2026 Veteran Spring Turkey hunt. Our 2025 Veteran hunter enjoyed the community support and hospitality so much that he asked if he could assist our 2026 hunters. Our Club's Veteran hunt team cannot thank our local community enough for donations and land owner access. Billy Norman for the hospitality of allowing our Vets to stay at his place and enjoy some excellent meals. With out the overwhelming community support the past few years. These hunts wouldnt be possible. Special congrats to Leon Roethler on tagging his first turkey and the biggest gobbler! Getting more people in the outdoors fishing and hunting and building this community is what its all about. Have a blessed week and good luck to all the turkey hunters!

Good morning! We had our first spring turkey Veteran hunter out on Monday. Although weather didn't make hunting easy. We still have a chance to bag his first turkey this Thursday. We cant thank the partnered land owners enough and local community support that made Marty Brockney's vision a reality. Hope all is well and lets post some turkey pics below if you have been out and tagged your 2026 birds!

The Lime Springs Shooting Range will be closed this Friday afternoon and Saturday to accommodate the Northeast Iowa 22lr Marksman Club shoot. Those interested can visit their page for more information or to join the event.

As some of you may know. One of our own, Brady Vrieze, returned home from the middle east earlier this year. Over the past few years we have started taking Veterans deer and turkey hunting. We cant thank our Veterans enough for their service and sacrifices.

Chester Fish and Game Veteran Hunt crew partnered with Troy Granahan, The Fallen Outdoors Iowa Chapter, and Allamakee County land owners to get some Veterans on a late season antlerless hunt. Pat Holcomb from the UP of Michigan made the journey and harvested his deer less than three hours after arriving at landowner Jeremiah Larson house. Deer were plentiful and one deer harvested out of the new Next Generation blind. Great times, great stories were shared, and lifelong friends were made.
