I decided to invest several thousands of dollars and countless hours of my time to start BTB back in the fall of 2020 for two main reasons.
1) To provide people in Lima and the surrounding area a place to continue playing competitive co****le after Western Ohio Co****le folded. I love this game and didn’t want people to lose what we had going.
2) To have a platform to do charitable acts in the community. This is our way of helping people.
My local players know me as a person and anyone who has played at my tournaments know that I run a good event. I run them efficiently and I’m always honest and transparent with everything. I’ve been told by dozens of players that I’m the only director they’ve ever seen who shows them all of the payout math written down on paper.
Other than my wife and Chico, I’ve never asked anyone for help with anything at my events…..BUT I’m asking all of YOU for something now.
If you only attend ONE of my events this year, PLEASE come to this one.
This is the time for our co****le community to shine and do what we do. Brian is one of our OG players and a good friend of mine. Let’s come together to help his family in a time of need.

CANCER BENEFIT
Most of you know Brian and Trevor Longmeier. This is a fundraiser for Brian’s mother-in-law. Many of you also know Brian’s better half Leora Donley (Kat). Her mother Belinda Donley has been diagnosed with stage four metastatic lung cancer. 😔
ALL, and I mean ALL proceeds will go directly to the costs associated with her illness.
I won’t even take a single dollar to reimburse myself for the shelter rental, food, port-a-john, or trophies.
When: Sunday August 4th, 2024
Where: Faurot Park (shelter house #1) in Lima, OH
This is the large shelter house at the top of the hill near Lakewood Ave with the big archways and really high ceilings. We will be covered from the elements so this is RAIN OR SHINE!! There is a playground and splash pad nearby for the kids.
BRING YOUR OWN LAWN CHAIRS AND BEVERAGES! NO GLASS BOTTLES ALLOWED IN THE PARK!
There will be BBQ food.
One plate per player IS included in the tournament entry fee.
For non players we are asking for a $10 donation for each plate.
Plates will include: 1 pulled pork sandwich, 1 hot dog, potato chips, potato salad , baked beans, cole slaw, and your choice of a bottled water or can of soda.
There will be a 50/50, raffles, and a bake sale to raise additional donations.

This will be best 2 out of 3 in the winners bracket, single elimination in the losers bracket.
There will also be a toilet bowl bracket for all of the teams that go 0-2, so that the new players and/or family members still have something to play for once they’re eliminated from the main bracket.

No corn bags allowed. If you do not have bags we have plenty for you to use.
We will be using the SCOREHOLIO app for this event. If you don’t already have it please download the app and set up your profile. It’s easy peasy, FREE to download, and only takes a minute or two. Basically all you need is a name, phone number, and email address.
New people and everyone of all skill levels are welcome to play!!
Either directly or indirectly, most people have had their lives affected by cancer. Times like these are when our co****le community comes together to support a good cause. Brian is a good friend of mine and he and his family are a big part of our co****le family.
