Go Fitness Lilburn DFC CrossFit We are a community that promotes a 'fitness should be fun' philosophy and welcomes those from beginners to elite athletes, old and young alike.

Our Programs include Adult CrossFit, CrossFit Teens, CrossFit Preteens, and Personal Training. or anyone to come and train as a community, regardless of skill level or age. Our experience proves that with the gym community, goals are accomplished quicker, and boundaries are pushed further. The functional movements that comprise CrossFit are skillfully programmed into our workout sessions to challenge different aspects of one's fitness every day. Each WOD session is a group experience where mobility exercises, the refinement and practicing of proper techniques, and the Work Out of the Day are performed. Do some weighted squats! (Use proper technique and gradual progression, of course). Weighted squats are good for everyone, but they’re especially beneficial for people over 60. Those squats will give you stronger leg and hip muscles, more core strength, better balance, increased bone density, and more resilient joints. You will be independent as you age. You’ll be able to get off the couch, the floor, and most importantly, the toilet! You’ll be able to go up steps and run away from the nursing home! And. . .you’ll be able to keep doing all the fun active things you do now!

Todd and Kim are the parents of 5 kids. Here’s their story told by Kim:

When I started 15 years ago 😳 the kids were:
Tadd- 3
Genevieve- 6
Ben- 10
Meredith- 12
Mallory- 15

Kids started at different ages. But it was great that they could come to CrossFit and then participate in school sports and then come back in off seasons.

CrossFit helped them with:
-Soccer/swim/basketball (Tadd)
-dance and XC (Genevieve)
- swim (Ben)
-Tennis (Meredith)
-Tennis (Mallory)

It helped ALL of them with overall confidence to join in at parties and church activities instead of sitting on the sidelines.

Now that they are grown- I can tell it developed in them knowledge and skills that they use to be healthy adults. ALL the kids do something to stay active and fit. ALL of them know the importance of movement for their mental as well as physical health.

Best part was doing it together and cheering each other on. DFC is the perfect place for families!

These folks are in their 40s - 70s. Your child could be missing out on some fantastic physical and developmental benefits. Box jumping increases lower body strength, explosive power, bone density, joint integrity, core stability, coordination, balance, body awareness, focus, and drive. That’s quite a list! Send your child our way for fitness classes that regularly include box jumps.

I’m 68, and I still love to do cartwheels 🤸!When children first learn cartwheels, they need to do it all the time -everywhere! My kids couldn’t sit through a meal without getting up and doing a few. It’s like riding a bike. You never forget - unless you never tried one in the first place. Everyone - especially kids- can learn. You don’t have to be a gymnast. Our kids work on cartwheels in our

Everyone in all my classes dressed in something other than gym clothes - PJs, bathing suits, Minions, Village People, graduates, Waffle House cook, and even an authentic Blue Angel from 40 years ago! Absolutely made my day!!🩷🩷🩷
