Do some weighted squats! (Use proper technique and gradual progression, of course). Weighted squats are good for everyone, but they’re especially beneficial for people over 60. Those squats will give you stronger leg and hip muscles, more core strength, better balance, increased bone density, and more resilient joints. You will be independent as you age. You’ll be able to get off the couch, the floor, and most importantly, the toilet! You’ll be able to go up steps and run away from the nursing home! And. . .you’ll be able to keep doing all the fun active things you do now!
