❓️FAQ: I'm new to exercise, how much should I be working out?❓️
✅️Answer: Exactly how much you should be working out is entirely dependent on your unique schedule, goals, and preferences.

The general reccomendation for most healthy adults is 2 days per week of resistance training coupled with at least 150 minutes of cardiovascular activity per week.

However, if you are new to exercise, don't feel like you have to start here. A good rule of thumb to remember when planning your excercise routine is to start with what you can and what you like to do as often as you can without straining your schedule or adding undo stress to your life.

This will look different for everyone so don't compare yourself to others. Inatead, progress at a pace that is comfortable for you, that way fitness can become a sustainable part of your life! 💪😄

💥post partum recovery and adjusting to life after a baby is NOT A RACE💥

Sleep was scarce last night due to this little buger being up all night with teething pains 😢 poor thing... And while I was making my (third) cup of coffee this morning and just struggling to feel any amount of energy, I was reminded once again, of the roller coaster of parenting.

While I love being a mom, it has brought about challenges in every pillar of my life; social life, emotions/mental health, physical fitness... ect. Just when I think we have a new routine down, the kids reach a new stage of life and we have to re-adjust. As parents, we sacrifice our own needs in order to meet the needs of our children. So why then is it so easy to beat ourselves up when we fail to meet our expectations for ourselves?

For example: any new mother can attest to the precieved pressure around "bouncing back" after having a baby. It's a little ridiculous that anyone would expect a woman to juggle the sleepless nights, wild hormones, healing body, work, raising a new baby, healthy diet, and working out and be able to turn around in no time looking and feeling like she did before her pregnancy. Yet, our society puts undo pressure on us to accomplish just that.

ESPECIALLY with the presence of social media! This pictures I posted are a perfect example of how easy it can be to present a false ideal on social media. Here I am, exhausted, unmotivated, looking and feeling like doodie, but you can't tell that just by looking at these pictures.

If you are a mother or father to children at any stage of life (and especially new parents) this is your reminder that it isn't a race. There is no time limit on finding a routine or reaching your health and fitness goals. Give yourself some grace today and enjoy the beautiful parts of being a parent. The fitness/ health and wellness goals will come in time. Don't obsess over your body shape or reaching those PBs, if you are currently still adjusting to these big changes in your life. There is plenty of time for that later. If your house is a mess or you haven't done your makeup and hair in who-knows-how long, it's OKAY. Don't compare yourself with others (especially on social media). Just remember to breathe, get rest when you can, and enjoy the little moments with your littles while you still can.

Hello out there to all my facebook friends! Fall has arrived and with it, a chance to start a life changing journey!

Throughout my life, I have struggled with poor body image, weight management, a bad relationship with food, and an aversion to exercise. The thought of overcoming these obstacles while juggling a busy family, two pregnancies, and work life seemed impossible. However, after a lot of hard work and education, I was finally able to piece together this puzzle and am now at a healthy weight living a sustainable happier lifestyle. This difficult but rewarding journey inspired me to become a personal trainer so that I can help others do the same!

If you are :
- Struggling to lose weight
- Just beginning your weight loss journey but don't know where to start
- Want to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle
- Are postpartum seeking weightloss
- Looking for weight loss accountability and support
- Might benefit from having group support
- Would like practical strategies that you can incorporate into everyday life
- Would like to lose weight while improving your relationship with food and self esteem

If any of this sounds like you then I would love for you to join me beginning September 15th for a whole new start! Weight loss doesn't have to be complicated, stressful, or expensive. I meticulously crafted this program, not only based on my education as a personal trainer, but also based on my own experiences with weight loss and I am so excited to share this life changing information with you!

This shouldn’t really need clarifying, but here we go.

You know those monumental ballbags who film themselves wandering grocery stores, pointing to ingredients they cannot pronounce and yelling about how everything is “TOXIC”?

“Kale is bullsh*t”
“Almond milk is toxic”
“THIS FOOD IS KILLING YOU!”

Well, someone commented on one of my video responses.

“They are just trying to promote nutritious diets”.

No, they aren’t.

Because NOBODY actually takes issue with the idea of promoting nutritious diets.

The reason these grocery store videos are getting so much attention (and backlash) is because they AREN’T promoting nutritious diets, but often promoting unnecessary food fear.

Yes, I am super duper happy for us to talk about foods you should eat more of, and foods you should eat less of, and reasons why.

But if people genuinely cared about your health, they wouldn’t make *unnecessarily* scary claims.

Because making people unnecessarily scared of anything is not actually helpful, you know?

Pass it on.
