BeWell Fitness Train the Athlete in You My name is Ben Wellenbach.

I love changing peoples lives through fitness but was fed up with people being mislead by foolish fitness products, fads and so-called trainers so I created BeWell Fitness that seamlessly integrates individuals goals with a safe, time-tested and results driven fitness program that trains the athlete in everyone.

Heat. Dehydration. Electrolytes. Conditioning. Duration.

All of these and more could lead to muscle cramps. It’s never just one thing however, one thing can help prevent it… preparation. Know the weather, hydrate appropriately in preparation, throughout and post, execute a training plan that exposes you to the intensity, volume and frequency of the demands.

This is true longevity!
2,768 steps to the top of Manitou Incline at Pikes Peak. 8,500ft, .88 miles long with an altitude gain of 2011 ft. The average grade is about 46% and the maximum grade is 68%.  The hike back down is just under 3 miles on a separate trail.

This is why strength and conditioning matters. To be able to enjoy the life you want! Congratulations John Bartos and Bronco, Levi (d), and Blitz for your consistency and dedication to yourselves.

Dr. John Rusin says sport specialization training has become a selling point and hot topic because people want to sell you that you need some special program for the sport you play. Those things cannot happen without a baseline requisite of movement capabilities and capacity. We have to create a solid foundation before we do anything specialized.

The trend is going in the wrong direction and we have to do something about it, Dr. John Rusin .

Sports are the classroom of life!

They teach far more than just wins and losses or skills of the game.

Above all, they teach kids to move and move frequently. The obesity & health crisis correlates. If you want to see the next generation be healthier than we are, we have to find ways to keep sports fun and engaging.

Congratulations to Chief Gregg Paiser for his retirement!

To think our first meeting 18 years ago would have led to this dear friendship is an understatement. We are all better because of your impact in our lives and wish you the very best in the next phase. You have always exemplified the fire service and define what “of service” is.
