"Should I work out when I'm sick?"
This is a common question, especially this time of year. The answer:
NO! If you're sick, go for a walk, do some movements at home, get sun, stay hydrated, but stay away from the gym. Pushing through the pain and discomfort doesn't make you tough, it makes you an inconsiderate jackass by putting others at the gym at risk of getting what you have. You see, our bodies get stronger and build muscle on our days off. When we work out, we damage our muscles, breaking them down enough to where our bodies send in the troops to heal the damage we put our muscles through. My clients don't want me coming over to workout when I'm sick and I don't want to see them when they are.
