We’re a bit late making it official, but there’s been a changing of the guard at Card My Yard Libertyville! 💕🎉

Our beloved Jen Hansson — aka Jen 1.0 — has officially passed the yard stakes to Jen Nichols — aka Jen 2.0! 😂

And honestly, you probably won’t notice much of a difference… except when Jen 2.0 sends you a text asking for just a few more details about exactly where you want that fabulous sign placed! 😂

For the first time in more than 15 years, Libertyville Little League fielded a team in an official Little League postseason tournament. Our 8/9/10-year old team competed against 10 other leagues in the Illinois District 13 tournament hosted by Streamwood Little League. We’re planning to build on this achievement to enter more teams in the future!

Congratulations to our 2026 AAA Champions, the Tonys Pro Painting Rays, and our runner-up, the Splash Hand Car Wash & Detail Yankees. This 10-team division has kept the park active and fun since May and these teams had an exciting finish to complete the season.

We have been monitoring air quality reports and are aware of safety concerns. This is especially difficult because today is the final scheduled day of our 2026 season.

After much discussion, we have decided to follow safety guidelines and postpone Sunday’s ballgames. We will prepare the park for next Saturday, July 25, to play today's games at the same times and field locations.

We are thankful to all our parents, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and players for another wonderful season at Butler Lake Park.
