Our Season 15 SCS Showcase has come and gone, and what a fabulous year it was!!!
I started this dream of SCS in 2010, in a tiny wooden building behind my house. 16 years and 15 successful seasons later, and I’m proud to say that Liberty County continues to SHOW UP each year, and the legacy has continued with Stormi's Cheer Studio. I feel incredibly grateful, blessed and HUMBLED to have coached these amazing students, and it is because of you parents putting your trust in me that I’ve had the opportunity to do so.
All of the performers were incredible! My favorite part is seeing their faces as soon as they step off of the stage from performing. Their adrenaline is pumping, the nerves are finally gone and they are in amazement at what they just accomplished in front of a packed crowd. Nothing beats those smiles and it makes all of the hard work and preparation that goes into Showcase so worth it!
These girls start out as my babies and they all grow up on their own special paths. Whatever road they take, I can only hope that they hold a little bit of something they learned at SCS with them always. Some go on to become award winning, recognized All American Cheerleaders throughout high school and college and beyond. Others go on to their true love of another sport or activity (like winning the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP with LHS Softball! Go Panthers!!!), but still stop to hug me and thank me for the memories when they are home from college. Some become Mamas (a few of which have second generation SCS babies now!), some become businesswomen, but all of them still run up to hug me at Walmart.
Many of my lifelong SCS girls grow up through my program and become incredible SCS instructors that pour themselves into the younger generations at the gym. Thank you for your hand in another successful season & showcase with these girls, and remembering the little teaching methods that matter to me, that I tried to engrave into to your minds when you were all little girls yourselves.
Thank you to all of my dedicated, talented and responsible instructors that worked so hard all season in their classes. Unknowingly, when you were learning from me in classes growing up, you were also learning how to become mentors yourself, and you are making a bigger impact than you realize! I am so proud of all of you! I see future teachers, coaches, pediatricians and beyond!
Thank you to the SCS parents for continuing to show up, and continuing to trust me with your girls and allowing me to live out my dream. I am forever grateful for the years that I’ve had with your girls, and for the years to come. I hope that you are proud of not just the cheerleading skills, but the character development happening within your girls at SCS! Seeing your girl step on a stage that size and get through it can be so shocking yet so rewarding…and they DID IT!!
If this was your first ever SCS Showcase, you NOW know what the hype is all about 😉 This is likely the biggest crowd that most of these girls will ever perform in front of, and let me just say, they all did an INCREDIBLE job! I could not be more proud of every single performer! There is NOTHING like an SCS girl! I truly believe in this program and its ability to create STARS. These girls are receiving high quality fundamentals from the start, leadership skills, poise, personality & performance qualities that allow them to stand out amongst a crowd. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again - you can ALWAYS spot an SCS girl! We hope you’ll join us this summer and in August for Season 16, where there are some new and exciting opportunities coming to SCS. We can’t wait to have you on board for our sweet sixteen season! SCS WE ARE THE BEST! 🎀
