The Capitol Federal Sports Complex welcomed more than 830 boys and girls cross country teams from more than 30 public and private high schools to Liberty on Saturday, September 5.

Hosting a regional event of this scale really lets Capitol Federal Sports Complex shine! We are so happy to partner with Liberty Public Schools to host this annual event.

A huge thank you to host Liberty North High School, the event organizers and every single runner who hit the course. We can't wait to see you again next year!

As the excessive heat continues, LPR is cancelling all Youth Sports this evening, Tuesday, September 8. This includes:

--Soccer practices
--Flag Football practices
--Baseball games/practices
--Softball games/practices
--T-Ball practices
--Tennis lessons and clinics

We are truly hoping this is the last cancellation due to heat that is heading our way! Thank you for your understanding as we keep our youth athletes safe and out of this weather.

Today, Thursday, September 3 through Monday, September 7, all outdoor Youth Sports have been cancelled!

This includes:
--Softball
--Baseball
--T-Ball
--Soccer
--Flag Football
--Tennis

As the high heat index continues, we want all athletes to be safe. Adult Softball leagues will still run, however, we highly encourage everyone to stay hydrated. Volleyball will still run as scheduled.

All outdoor LPR Youth Sports programs are cancelled today, Monday, Aug. 31 - Wednesday, Sept 2. Youth Volleyball will run as scheduled!

The safety of our young athletes is always our top priority and due to the forecasted extreme heat index, we want everyone to stay safe and out of the dangerous heat. ☀️

As of right now, all outdoor activities are scheduled to run on Thursday, Sept. 3, However, if we need to make another cancellation based on the weather, we will post an update right here on our page.

Everyone stay cool and we will hit the fields soon!

On Sept. 6, the KC Royals are hosting Youth Sports Day! Liberty Parks & Rec is a proud partner of the Royals through the R.A.D program, which provides unique opportunities for Liberty players and coaches throughout the season.

It's new, it's exciting and it's inclusive!

We are partnering with Can Play to bring another adaptive sports program to Liberty - T-Ball!

This 4-week program is designed for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. The programs are tailored to meet various ability levels in a supportive and empowering environment. Plus, it's a lot of fun!

There is a lot going on at the Sports Complex this week!

The parking lot on the 4-plex side of the facility was repaved (see progress below). This is a much needed project that we know every visitor will appreciate!

The 5-plex side parking lot will be up next and should start within the next few weeks. Parking spot lines will eventually be painted with the Sports Complex's new Tiny Mobile Robot!

Time is almost up! 🚨 ⚽

Our registration deadline for Recreational Youth Soccer has been extended to this Friday, August 7. Don't forget to register for the fall season!

We offer leagues from Kindergarten all the way up to 7th/8th grade. It's the perfect way to get the kids involved, making friends and learning the fundamentals of the game. ⚽🏃‍♂️

Our tech has upgraded! 😎

Earlier this summer, we got a new Tiny Mobile Robot that can paint designs, parking lot lines, soccer fields, logos and much more. Below it is shown painting the flag design that was displayed on the grass at Liberty Fest.

We are excited to have this new piece of equipment to use around the Sports Complex! 🎉
