One of my most favorite people that I have met thru sports, Fredia “The Cheetah” Gibbs. The only female martial artist in the World to have a statue made of her. She played basketball and ran track at Temple University and finished at playing both at Cabrini where she still holds records. She holds multiple belts and won multiple championships in mixed martial arts and boxing as well, earning her the title of “The Most Dangerous Woman in the World.”
I love her dearly. She is an inspiration to all. Glad to call her my friend.

With UFC Lightweight KO record holder Melvin Guillard and Big Kev in Colorado back stage before Melvin went out and did some damage. Nothing brings a crowd together faster than a KO early in a fight.

Taking our team from Central Texas and spending time with such a great program ran by Eric Davis in Chicago was one of the most unifying things for our local young men. We spent midday doing cleanup around an elementary school and down a few streets teamed up with The Base and their ball players from Chicago. The boys had a blast and met a lot of new friends.

Unifying athletes does not mean censoring them. It means letting them be who they are. A team that prays together has a bond beyond the field. It’s a love knowing that there is more than baseball. It’s not about wins and losses. It’s about being thankful for the talent they are blessed with and never taking it for granted.

23 yr old Grand Junction lefty pitcher Jaylen Smith with his last off season bullpen before he heads out for the season. 15 yr old Freshman at McNeil HS catcher Micah Goodin who has been catching Jaylen’s bullpens on and off for the last 14-15 months. The relationship these 2 built while facing hitters and trusting each other on the field as well as making sure they showed up for each other is why sports is such an important factor in our youths’ lives. I am super proud of the 2 and really enjoy getting to watch both of them grow and prosper.

One of the greatest opportunities that I have in sports is working with many of the legends and greatest athletes to play and coach the game. This video by Deion Sanders is spot on in todays sports world. Enjoy and really listen to what he is saying.
