Just picked up a Arisaka type 38, 6.5JAP, Series 1 from the Nagoya Arsenal, probably made between 1933 and 1940. Was packed and covered in cosmoline, took a few hours to clean it up, and was pleasantly surprised with the condition, then I had to take it out back and test fire some rounds through it...... shoots perfectly, nice original rifle!

Last couple of evenings, glass of wine, my camera, walking around the back of the house, and just looking at some beautiful scenery..... cold... still a bit of snow on the ground, Are we lucky or what??? Living here, and enjoying this retirement thing!!! (Still like to take a ton of pictures....LOL)
