Today was a long one at the Palmetto Nationals.

It was brutally hot, the kind of heat that drains you before the racing even begins. We made our way to the track, hauled everything over to our spot, got the tent set up, and settled in with Monty by our side.

Once we got there, things felt a little better. Sometimes just being at the track, surrounded by the BMX community and focused on the next step, helps bring everything back into perspective.

Today was not the result Noah was hoping for. He finished last in both rounds and did not make mains. That is a tough feeling, especially when you know how much work, emotion, and hope go into getting to a national race weekend.

But not every race day is going to be the highlight reel.

Some days are about learning. Some days are about showing up, pushing through disappointment, and staying committed even when things do not go your way. Those days matter too.

We stayed and watched mains until the generator finally gave out, and now we are back regrouping, doing laundry, catching up on a little work, and getting ready to try again tomorrow.

Noah, I am proud of you on the hard days too. Maybe especially on the hard days.

Thank you to everyone following along, cheering him on, and supporting his journey. It means more than you know. He has a whole village behind him, and we are so grateful.

We want to take a moment to thank someone who is so incredibly dear to our family: Aunt Debbie. ❤️

Aunt Debbie has always been one of those people who loves with her whole heart. She is warm, generous, encouraging, and full of that beautiful Italian-family kind of love that makes you feel supported, cared for, and never alone.

She follows Noah’s journey so closely, cheers him on through every update, and always makes sure he knows how proud she is of him. This week, she sent $100 in the mail to help support his BMX journey, and it touched our hearts more than we can put into words.

It is not just the donation. It is the love behind it.

It is knowing that Noah has family who believes in him, celebrates him, and wants to help him keep chasing the goals that mean so much to him. It is knowing that Aunt Debbie is always there, rooting for him with her whole heart.

Aunt Debbie, we love you so much. Thank you for always showing up with so much love, for being one of Noah’s biggest cheerleaders, and for being such a special part of our family and his journey.

We made it to Lexington, South Carolina! 🏁🚲

Noah is officially at the Palmetto Nationals at Lexington BMX, getting in his practice laps and preparing for a full weekend of racing. The gates start dropping tomorrow, and we are so excited to see him step onto the track for his next national event.

National weekends are a completely different experience. New track. New competition. Bigger classes. More pressure. Every trip gives Noah another opportunity to learn, grow, and become a stronger rider. No matter what happens at the finish line, we are already proud of the work he continues to put in and the courage it takes to keep showing up for these big moments.

This is BMX too. 🌧️🚲

Not just the gate drops. Not just the wins. Not just the mains.

It is the bikes lined up in the rain. The muddy shoes. The wet seats. The waiting around. The quiet moments between races. The hard losses. The long weekends. The reset after disappointment.

Noah did not make mains this weekend, but he did gain something important: experience.

He got a real taste of what this next level feels like, and now we know a little more about what we are working toward.

The road to Nationals is not always pretty, but it is teaching him discipline, patience, grit, and how to keep going when things do not go perfectly.

That is worth showing up for. ❤️

This was about getting his feet wet at the next level, literally and figuratively. Bigger races, tougher competition, long waits, soaked clothes, muddy everything, and learning how to reset when the weekend does not go your way.

These are the weekends that build a rider.

Not every step forward looks like a trophy. Sometimes it looks like showing up in the rain, learning from the losses, watching the faster riders, keeping your head in it, and going home with a better understanding of what it takes.

Proud of you, Noah. This is part of the road too. ❤️

Music City Nationals weekend update 🚲🌧️

This weekend was not the fairytale BMX weekend where everything clicked, but it was absolutely the kind of weekend that builds a rider.

Noah did not make mains any of the three days, and that is okay.

This was his first real step into what a bigger National Age Group level weekend feels like. The pace, the pressure, the weather, the nerves, the competition, the waiting, the reset after a loss - all of it. He got his feet wet for NAG, literally and figuratively.

It was a wet weekend. There were hard losses, long days, soaked clothes, tired bodies, and some moments that tested everyone. But Noah showed up. He raced. He learned. He watched. He adjusted. He kept going.

That is the part we are proud of.

BMX is not just about trophies or making mains. It is about learning how to lose without quitting, how to stand back up after disappointment, how to keep loving something even when it is hard, and how to grow into the rider you are trying to become.

We came home with experience, perspective, and a better idea of what this next chapter is going to ask from him. And honestly, that matters.
