We extend our sincerest apologies to the children, parents, and veterans who have been impacted by our kite-flying activities. We are saddened to announce that we will no longer be able to fly kites at the Belleville soccer fields due to new management at The youth soccer fields off Dill road, who have prohibited kite-flying and the use of golf carts for this purpose. We are looking forward to relocating to a more family-friendly and veteran-respectful area. This decision breaks our hearts, especially for the children who have enjoyed our kites. Prior to this, on Memorial Day, an incident occurred where a woman in a golf cart drove onto the field, and her passenger kicked our kite, which was patterned after the American flag. We promptly removed the kite to avoid any further issues. Having flown kites at this location for over a year without incident, we are disappointed that this has happened. However, we prioritize the well-being of all parties involved, including families, individuals with mental health needs, and veterans. We have decided to cancel our 4th of July activities in Belleville and look forward to finding a more suitable location.
