5/22/2026 (8:47AM) - 2026 LAKESIDE TRIATHLON POSTPONED

The 2026 Lakeside Double Sprint Triathlon will be postponed. After discussions with several local agencies the likelihood of being able to safely host the event tonight is VERY low. Thus, we are preemptively making the decision to find a new race date in the future. As it is Memorial Day weekend we do not expect to be able to figure out that new date until sometime next week. We will let everyone know the new date then, and we will let everyone know the options for registration. This will include staying in the event at the new date or a credit into next year's event or another triathlon within the South Carolina Triathlon Series. We hope you all understand this decision as we feel it is the best one for all those involved in the event. We will be in touch...

This fall, Joe Roof is teaching a triathlon training course at the University of South Carolina on Wednesday mornings! Students will learn the fundamentals of swim, bike and run training while preparing for a semester sprint triathlon! Know a student who might be interested?
