The McTeggart School of Irish Dance is dedicated to promoting Irish dancing and culture for children and their families for the enrichment of the Lexington, Kentucky community. Classes are under the instruction of Maureen Hall, ADCRG, Allison Duvall, TCRG, and Brooke Harris, TCRG.

Today’s performances in Madison County deserve not one, but two posts! Make sure to check out the next one for some delightful candid shots of our dancers and community members. It’s a labor of love always to share Irish dance with community, but today’s performances really set the bar high! In addition to the wonderful dancers, no fewer than six adults took over various aspects of performance planning and ex*****on to make today happen. We are so so grateful!

WHY Irish dance camp? We'll let one of our advanced students, Esme, tell you all about it (also first picture - 🥹😍 little Esme at her first feis!! - Irish dance competition):

"One of my favorite memories as I grew up with McTeggart was the summer camps. I remember meeting some of my best dance friends during the summer, and it was during that camp that I felt like I truly became part of the McTeggart family. At this camp, a little eight year old me was able to become a leader. I remember teaching those at the camp who were new to Irish dance, and I felt just as cool as the older girls. We did so many fun activities, from designing our own solo dresses to choreographing steps all on our own. We even had paper plate awards at the end of the week, and I can still vividly recall my excitement when I was awarded the “Teach a Friend” plate." We are delighted to offer four weeks of summer camp in 2026:

🔅June 15-19
🔅July 13-17
🔅July 20-24

Choose from mornings (9am-12pm), afternoons (1pm-4pm), or full day (9am-4pm) options. Before and after care may be provided if there is enough demand - please reach out!

🔵 Camp fees: $200 for half day camp; $350 for full day camp.
☘ Standard Discounts: currently enrolled McTeggart students receive $50 off each week; multi-week discounts of 25% off for 2nd-4th enrolled weeks.
