Good evening everyone! I hope you all are finding reprieve from the heat we’ve endured lately. Sunday was a scorcher!

We have four teams playing this season and two are brand new. We had hoped there would be more based on some of the feedback we had received, but alas, four it is. If anyone would still like to join, we wouldn’t be against allowing late entries. At least until we reached eight teams total.

We will not be playing regular games on the Labor Day weekend. Instead, we will have a special event and maybe some door prizes! The event will be open to anyone, not just league players. Grab a friend and bring them on Sunday September 6 at 2:00pm. The more the merrier!

Registration is open for the 2026 Grimes Mill Winery Bocce League! This is your reminder that we start this Sunday! If you don’t know the information for your teammate, make sure they fill out the form for themselves. We’ll be sure to match up information for all teammates.

Here are the league details:

The league will start on Sunday, August 9 and run through late October (minimum of 8 weeks) and will include a season-ending tournament that will be double-elimination. Games will be played every Sunday and will start at 2PM. Teams will play two games to 12 points each week.

Unlike previous seasons, both daily games will not be played against the same opponent, nor will they be played back to back. We’re shaking up the format to try to provide some relief from the sun on the especially warm days.

Teams will consist of two players and substitutions are allowed if a player is unavailable. Registration is $100/team and can be paid on the first day of league play (8/9/26). All players will receive a league t-shirt at the start of the tournament.

We’ll send a schedule out as soon as we know exactly how many teams will be competing. That probably means that we’ll randomly select matches the first week, so make sure you show up on time because you may have a first round game.

Good evening all! I hope you are doing well. It looks like warmer weather is finally here for more than just a few days at a time, so who wants to play some bocce?

I’m proud to announce that Bluegrass Bocce will be hosting their first outside bocce league (ever) this year at Grimes Mill Winery!

Like previous leagues there, it will be played on Sunday afternoons, every other weekend, starting on June 8 at 2:00pm. The season will run through the end of September with a season end tournament scheduled for October 12. Registration for 2 person teams is $100 and is due on the first day of play.
