Kentucky has the highest drowning rate of any neighboring state — and we're on a mission to change that.

According to CDC data, Kentucky sees 1.54 drowning deaths per 100,000 people — higher than Tennessee (1.40), Missouri (1.42), Virginia (1.03), and the national average. These aren't just statistics. They're neighbors, children, and family members whose lives could have been saved.

Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death in the U.S., and it's largely preventable. At British Swim School, we believe everyone, at every age, and every stage, deserves the skills and confidence to be safe in and around the water.

It’s Survival Week, and we’re kicking it off with a Storybook theme! 📚✨

Come dressed as your favorite book character, just make sure to wear your swimsuit underneath.

Swimmers will be practicing with everyday clothing over their suits, building confidence and learning how to respond if they ever enter the water unexpectedly.

With Water Safety Month in full swing, it’s the perfect time to focus on skills that truly matter. 💙
