It was a special night celebrating our 2026 HCAC Champions and NCAA Tournament team. This group came together in a big way with 13 straight wins to earn another trip to the “Big Dance.” Grateful for everyone who was part of the journey. What a ride.

We also honored our lone senior, Dakota Capps. Coach Lane surprised him with the chance to give a senior speech, and he delivered something truly special. He began with a heartfelt thank you to those who supported him after losing his mom just two weeks before his freshman season. “I couldn’t have made it through without you guys.” He closed with, “I’ll always be there for you if you ever need me the next 5, 10, 15 years. I love you guys.” ❤️
We think it is going to be longer than that Dakota! Well done.

Dakota is headed to Louisville this summer to begin a major opportunity in accounting, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s ahead for him.

There are great days ahead but tonight was about celebrating an incredible season and an exceptional group of players and coaches.

What a night at the Beck Center! 🙌🏀

An incredible crowd and an electric atmosphere helped push the Pioneers to a HUGE accomplishment — HCAC Regular Season Champions and the #1 seed in the upcoming HCAC Championship! So proud of this group and the energy from Pioneer Nation.

Now it’s time for postseason basketball at the Clive M. Beck Center this Saturday:

Daytona Beach did not disappoint! Closing out the 10th hardest non-conference schedule in NCAA, the Pios pull out the win against #18 Dubuque after falling by just 3 points to #13 Gustavus Adolphus the day before.

Transylvania heads to Anderson (IN) on Saturday to resume Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Pioneers fly to Newport News, VA this weekend for Christopher Newport's tournament. CNU won the NCAA Championship in 2023 with a record of 30-3. Transylvania University has never shied away from playing an extremely tough schedule. This year is no different!

Transylvania Basketball is headed to Chicago!! Pioneers play Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday, November 16th, at 2 pm at the University of Chicago. Sunday's game will either be at noon vs. Bates or 4 pm vs. Chicago. Let us know if you are in the area and would like to attend.

This was a pretty good squad back in the early 2000's!
