✨BOSTON MARATHON MAGIC ✨

absolutely crushed a 6 minute PR on Monday in his 3rd Boston Marathon. This training block was a lot of piecing out what works for Joey and he was able to make some life adjustments to show a huge jump in fitness! Excited to see where this takes him!

Her second marathon. Her first Boston. Monday was huge for .d133 as she tackled the streets of Boston, running another Boston Qualifying time of 3:00!

I am so proud of Nina and the diligence she approached this training block, putting together some of her biggest long runs of her life on the way to this one!

We’ve been working with for a few weeks now, taking over halfway through her build for her first marathon. After an unforeseen cancelation of the Carmel Marathon, Mary turned her sights to the Brew City Marathon in Milwaukee.

Congrats Mary on completing your first marathon! All eyes set on chasing a dream race later this year!

Life is busy and training takes time! How can you maximize your time to get the most out of your training without costing you valuable family or work time?

1) Remove mental friction.
Having a coach and having a routine are two ways to remove what you are going to do and when you are going to do it. By having a coach program your runs, and doing runs at a similar time each day, it takes the time and the stress of thinking. Personally, I add my runs into my Google Calendar with all of my other events, so I am not having to think about it the day before.

2) Maximize “Hidden Time”
Where can you find time to squeeze in some miles? For me that means going in a 35-40 minute run during a 45 minute lunch break at work, so I can focus on my wife when I get home.

3) Communicate what you need.
Your coach should be willing to work with you to adjust training to meet your life demands. Build running around your life, NOT your life around running.

4) Have some support!
I could not do this alone. While running by myself a lot, I’m able to get in my runs because of my wife’s willingness to make dinner or do some more house chores, while I am out chasing my goals. Communicate with your crew and see how they can best support you.

Congrats on an excellent first marathon!

Jayson put together a near perfect 14 week block, not missing any runs, even as a full-time college student who is actively involved in ministry!

I am stoked to see Jayson glorify and worship the Lord through this journey and am excited to see what he does next.
