Looking at the first two preseason games the panthers have a big problem when it comes to effort and energy . The problem is that we are not giving our starters valuable reps and our team shows up unprepared and we just don’t put in effort and competitiveness on the field which is why we have been outscored 50-13 in the first two preseason games . If that is the effort we are gonna put on the field then the Panthers are going to be a waste of time because no fan wants to buy tickets or watch the games on TV if the panthers are going to lay down for their opponents and get blown out without putting up a fight . Canalas has got to do better of getting this team prepared because a bad start will force tepper to get involved and fire him and young will be on the bench and will be cut or traded

Looking at the 2025 draft class it is going to be a make or break year for Dan Morgan and the new front office because not only was last years draft class terrible but ever since we lost Marty hunrey who did a really good job of producing solid draft classes before tepper arrived the panthers drafting has been really bad with Carolina drafting raw project players instead of game changers and players that can make an immediate impact . If the panthers cannot get a solid draft class this year then I don’t see them taking the next step in the rebuild process. The only was for the panthers to improve is to produce solid draft classes and draft players that can make an impact and be game changers and I know it’s the second year of the new office and while I give them credit for the free agency moves they made however with how bad the previous regimes have been in drafting and Dan Morgan’s first draft class being a failure for now the pressure needs to be on him and the front office to do better with drafting because of the poor draft classes we have produced over the years since David tepper took over and it has led to this franchise being at rock bottom

The gamecocks football schedule is going to be extremely hard and brutal with 7 ranked teams and the fact that we have a young team makes it harder . We as a fanbase need to stop calling for Beamer to be fired because getting rid of him after four years is going to do nothing but cause this team to struggle and continue to rebuild . With the SEC getting tougher with no divisions because of the additions of Texas and OU along with having to play playoff contenders in our conference such as ole miss , LSU, Alabama , ETC this is not the right time to fire a coach and go through another rebuild

The gamecocks fanbase thinks that the only way for our football team to win and compete for championships is by calling for coaches to be fired and screaming for Beamer to be fired . But they are wrong all they are asking for is more losing and mediocre football if they keep calling for Beamer to be fired . The only way for a football program to build a winning team is to support the coach and give him time to recruit and build the team from the ground up . If we as a fanbase keep calling for the coaches to be fired then the USC football program is going to be stuck in a deep hole of mediocrity and losing

If South Carolina gets rid of Beamer after this season which I don’t see it happening because of our tough schedule and the fact that we are still rebuilding in year 4 then the USC fanbase better enjoy the Gamecock football team going through a longer period of constant rebuilding and mediocrity with no end in sight . The fanbase needs to stop whining and complaining about why this team cannot compete and win and the reason why the football team has struggled to compete and win in the SEC along with their inability to compete at the highest level is because the fanbase is not giving coaches a chance to rebuild the team and they have grown delusional since the Steve spurrier Era . It took Steve spurrier five seasons before the 2010 season when we won the SEC East and played in a major bowl game which was the Chick-fil-A bowl game VS FSU which was the start of a 4 year period of winning and success when we had 3 straight 11 win seasons from 2011-2013 and the success happened because spurrier was given a chance to rebuild the team despite the fanbase calling for his firing which paid off in the end . If we fire Shane Beamer then we are not going to get a coach who is good and better than Beamer and USC will hire a bad mediocre coach to replace him and that coach will also produce mediocre results on the field. Beamer is doing a good job rebuilding the team and he is a great recruiter who has done a great job recruiting talented players from the portal and high school prospects which has given our roster talented players to compete in the SEC but if we get rid of him after four years then it is going to set the program back and put us in a deeper hole meaning we lose all the good recruiting we have with Beamer and nothing will change for this team except that they will have a losing record especially we have to play the same SEC teams that we play this year in the upcoming 2025 season but this time the sites of the 2024 matchups get flipped and when the South Carolina fanbase gets angry and calls for the coach to get fired during next season because this team is doing bad and being mediocre then they will regret calling for Beamer to get fired when this team gets stuck in the Constant period of rebuilding and mediocrity

Firing Shane Beamer would be a huge mistake that will set this program back because changing head coaches consistently is going to get this team nowhere but stuck in neutral and if you fire Shane Beamer after the 2024 season then you will have to tear down the rebuild that he has built and start over from scratch . The gamecocks will struggle to hire a good coach if they fire Beamer and all of the progress and recruiting he has put into this team will be put to waste . I get the gamecocks fanbase wants the team to have the success that we previously had under Steve spurrier but it takes time and patience because spurrier didn’t immediately win as we had mediocre records in his first five seasons before we won the SEC East division and played in the Conference championship game in 2010 which was a major step towards winning 11 games in 3 straight seasons . Shane Beamer is a great coach for this team because not only is he a true gamecock who knows the program since he coached under Steve spurrier but he is a great recruiter who has done an excellent job of recruiting talented players from high school and the transfer portal and for this program to succeed we need stability and properly rebuild the team from scratch and Beamer is the answer to getting this team back on track and winning games for the gamecocks

We should be really proud of Lamont Paris and the gamecocks men’s basketball team . I get losing to Oregon in the first round of the NCAA tournament sucks but we had a really good season defying expectations such as making the NCAA tournament and winning 26 games tied with the final four team and finishing fifth in the SEC when we were picked to finish dead last in the conference. I wasn’t expecting this team to be really good when we are in the second year of a rebuild under Lamont Paris but he and the team proved us wrong . This season is a step in the right direction for the rebuild under Lamont Paris and this team has made the gamecock nation very proud

With the USC men’s basketball team winning a program record 25 games in the regular season and Lamont Paris becoming the first coach to win the SEC coach of the year award in his second year this is an example of good things happening to a sports program if the gamecocks fanbase is patient and gives coaches a chance to rebuild the team and implement the system . When Lamont Paris was hired from UTC Chattanooga the fanbase didn’t like him and wanted BJ McKie who played for Carolina (from 1995-1999 ) as the head coach but what impressed me about Paris was that he was good at getting transfers from the portal and he was a good recruiter . His recruiting success helped him rebuild UTC Chattanooga into a good team and it took him 4 years to rebuild the program until the Mocs broke though and they won the SoCon conference tournament along with making the ncaa tournament in his fifth year as their coach . Despite the first season being bad because he didn’t have time to build the roster and all we had was a high school superstar in GG Jackson and a random bunch of players from the portal the reason why this team did good in his second year was not because the system was good and efficient but the players bought into his culture and he had all the time in the off-season to recruit and build the team by using the portal to recruit transfers and high school players . No matter what happens in the SEC and NCAA tournaments this team had a really good season and they defied expectations by finishing in fifth place in the SEC when we were picked to finish dead last in the conference and we won 25 games when no one gave us a chance to be this good . Lamont Paris deserves an extension to stay in Columbia and coach the gamecocks to new heights of success.

Despite South Carolina playing ugly and nearly choking away a 13 point second half lead which gave me flashbacks of the LSU game when we choked away a 16 point lead and lost by one point we managed to squeak out a 70-68 win over Texas A&M . While we can do a better job of making our free throws since making 46.2 percent of free throws kept Texas A&M in the game and the aggies making 88.0 percent from the stripe was a big fact in helping Texas A&M keep the game close until the end a win is a win no matter how ugly it is . This game felt like a tournament type game and this is the type of game this team needs before the tough stretch with UF ,UT and MSU starting this Saturday at home against the Gators because when we play in the SEC and NCAA tournaments they are going to be close hard fought games that will make us fight to earn the win but tonight we earned the win because our team has grit and determination to win and we showed it tonight .

Bryce young’s rookie season may not be good but he has shown promise and encouragement by leading two game winning drives to help the panthers win both games against the Texans and falcons . What we want from him as a franchise QB is to be clutch in the final minutes of the game and lead the team on a game winning drive to win the game . He has shown that he can do that . If we can build a better roster around him and have good coaching to help him then he can be a really good QB for the panthers

With the panthers season about to come to a close and finishing with a record of 1-16 the worst record in the league they need to go into the offseason and make some serious changes . I feel bad for Bryce young this season because even though he is playing like a rookie he isn’t getting help as the team around him is bad as the Offensive line cannot protect him and the offensive weapons cannot get open and separation. The coaching has been very bad for him and the GM fitterer didn’t do a good job of building the roster around young . Right now GM Scott fitterer should be on the chopping block to get fired in the offseason . He made a lot of bad free agent signings, drafting was awful and the roster he has built hasn’t been competitive either . He failed to surround young with talent and traded away our two best players in CMC and DJ Moore for nothing . We shouldn’t have gotten rid of Gilmore and Hassan Reddick. The panthers have set up Bryce young to fail and they have not helped him in his development as a franchise QB. What the panthers need to do is tear everything down and start over scratch which starts with getting rid of the GM , cleaning house in the scouting department and front office , and rebuilding the roster to help Bryce young become a successful franchise QB and that starts with David tepper needing to change his approach to the team by stepping out of the way and letting the people he hired to do their jobs instead of meddling with the organization and getting involved in the football operations . I am still confident that the panthers chose the right QB in Bryce young and that he will be a good QB for the team
