DAY 2 AT STATE — STATE CHAMPIONS & ALL-OHIO HONORS
What a day for Lexington Track & Field!
The day started in dramatic fashion as our 4x800 Meter Relay team of Nate Reed, Trevor Reed, Will Hooper, and Latrell Hughes captured the Division II State Championship, closing hard to bring home the title and running 7:47.59, the 3rd-fastest time in school history.
Eli Barr continued his incredible season by clearing a huge PR of 13’6”, earning 8th place in Division II and securing All-Ohio honors in the Pole Vault.
After a lengthy weather delay, our Lady Lex athletes took center stage under the lights and delivered.
4x100 Relay — Tatum Stover, Sylvia Secrist, Olivia Thomas, and Allison Laury earned All-Ohio honors with a 6th-place finish.
4x400 Relay — Olivia Thomas, Allison Laury, Mia Twedt, and Sylvia Secrist battled in a loaded field to place 7th and earn All-Ohio honors.
Mia Twedt capped off an unforgettable freshman season by running a school-record 2:12.87 in the 800 meters, placing 3rd in the state. Mia leaves Columbus with three All-Ohio medals and a school record.
A special congratulations to Olivia Thomas, Allison Laury, and Sylvia Secrist, who each finished the meet with two All-Ohio medals.
State Champion performances. School records. Personal bests. All-Ohio honors.
We couldn’t be more proud of these athletes and the way they represented Lexington on the biggest stage.
