Family Kicks Taekwon Do is growing fast and we are looking for an Assistant Instructor to help us as we continue to expand our class offerings for Children, Teens and Adults. We are looking for a highly professional and personable individual with a Black Belt in Martial Arts (preferably Taekwon Do - ITF preferred but not required). The ideal candidate will also have the right temperament to work with both children and adults and should have a passion for martial arts and a willingness to market our programs in the community. The Assistant Instructor will need to be able to work with large groups of people in helping them through their initial phases of training as well as more advanced classes. The candidate must be able to work nights and weekends.

Family Kicks Taekwon Do is a local family owned and operated martial arts school that teaches our students self-defense, confidence, self-discipline and other life skills based on the tenets of Taekwon Do. We foster a family environment throughout our school and view our students, their families and our staff as part of our family. If you’re ready to join our family, send us your resume today!

Requirements

· Must be at least 16 years of age or older

· Able to pass criminal background check

· Must have at least a 1st degree black belt (ITF Taekwon Do desired but not required)

· Weapons experience (Nunchaku, Bo Staff and Kamas) a plus

· Passion for teaching children, teens and adults from age 3 and up

· Ready and willing to train and learn our TKD system

· Self-motivated and self-disciplined

· Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule (weeknights/afternoons and weekends)

Responsibilities

· Improving the lives of our students through martial arts

· Assist Chief Instructor/Instructors with class instruction

· Conduct evaluation classes with prospective students

· Clean and sanitize facility and training equipment

· Assist in various front desk tasks including answering phones, setting appointments, and selling merchandise

· Assist in offsite lessons (after school programs, preschools, special events)

· Other duties as directed
