Finally got a couple of comet pictures from the 2nd fairway at Sunrise Disc Golf, at New Day Community Church. Couldn't see it but the camera picked it up. An eclipse and a comet in the same year. Good times.

There has been a copperhead sighting and possibly bite on number 18 Fairway. Please be careful when retrieving discs from brushy areas. Make sure you can see where your hands and feet are going.

It's official. The first annual Sunrise Disc Golf M**hodists v Mormons doubles tournament was a success. Team M**h Heads (M**hodist) took 1st; team Old Skool (M**hodist) took second; team THE Mormons (Mormon) took 3rd. While the M**hodists took the top two spots, the Mormons won with the best overall average score. And we raised $96 to go to Meadowlark Meals and everyone donated their prize winnings (Legos and flying discs) to the Center of Hope shelter for homelessness. And a good time was had by all (or most 😀). Many thanks to Brooks Dellinger for the excellent photography.

Building the halfway house - a shelter from the storm.

Huge progress on the halfway house / storm shelter this past Saturday. Many thanks for all those who contributed or helped build. Lost keys at sunrise disc golf today. Maybe in the construction zone near the number eight basket. Or anywhere between there and the parking lot. Silver S-shaped carabiner and about half a dozen keys, including a Honda truck key. Darren Hickerson 919-6 9 8 - 25 2 6

The storm shelter / halfway house is underway at Sunrise Disc Golf near #9 and 13. We’ll need lots of help in a few weeks raising the roof. Look for a scheduled date coming up. With Jimmy Williams, Butch Holland and Darren Hickerson. Jesse playing a round of disc golf stopped and helped a few hours.

Exciting stuff at Sunrise Disc Golf! Workday on November 18 about 9 AM to 4 PM or as long as you can stay. Bring some digging tools and work gloves. We will start setting the footings for the new storm shelter out in the woods, and hopefully put in three back tees. Would love to have you.
