In case you're having a hard time getting the meet information for tomorrow from the TAAF Region IV website (you're not alone), here it is. Short version is field events at 3,200 meter run begin at 8:30. All other events begin at 10:00 a.m. with a rolling schedule.

Our next practice is tomorrow. You can still register at any of our first few practices, but we recommend getting to as many as possible. The regional meet will come up on us fast!

Remember that we are also looking for volunteers for our meet. We know it's tough to ask people help us out when it's some folk's first time, but we don't decide on the meet dates, unfortunately. If you have any time available on Saturday, come let us know at practice tomorrow!

Finally, some updates for you folks:

We have set up a temporary page for online registration. If you'd like, registration in person will begin at 5:30 p.m. to around 8:00 p.m. on June 2 at Max Goldsmith Stadium at Lewisville High School. We will have sizes of uniforms to try on so we can reduce the guesswork on that end. Your athlete will also be able to meet many of our coaches at this event. Practices, which will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will begin on Tuesday, June 7. Practices for those under 12 will begin at 5:30 p.m. All others will begin at around 6:45 p.m.

Perhaps more importantly, our meet this year will be held earlier than last year. This means we will need volunteers to help us host our event. If you are available June 11, we absolutely, positively need your help. Having a successful meet allows us to keep registration costs down each year. Please let us know at registration (or here) if you would be able to volunteer in any capacity. No experience is required.

Please excuse our tardiness on getting this information to you. Most of us are wrapping up the school year and want to be sure we end that right before we begin this fantastic season!

Please fill out the form below to register for Lake Cities Track Club for the summer 2015 season. Registration is $100 for the first child in a family, $75 for the second, and $50 for all others. Another year, another state meet in the books. Congratulations to all of the athletes who ran, jumped, or threw this weekend. We were happy not just to come away with some medals and ribbons, but also three new club records.

Most importantly, we're proud of all our athletes, parents, volunteers, and coaches. It was a pleasure to help foster your knowledge and enjoyment of the sport, and we look forward to seeing you next year (hopefully with a few friends!)
