School Has Started… But It’s Not Too Late to Join!

The school year may already be underway, but there’s still time to start something new, get active, build confidence, and grow stronger together!

Kaizen Gōjūkan Karate is welcoming new students of all ages to our Fall Semester. Our program goes beyond learning punches, kicks, and self-defense. We focus on developing discipline, confidence, focus, respect, physical fitness, leadership, and character—skills that can make a difference both on and off the dojo floor.

And there’s a great reason to give it a try:
FIRST MONTH FREE!
All new students receive their first month FREE through September 30, 2026.

Classes for the Whole Family
CHILDREN — Ages 5+
Mondays & Thursdays | 5:45–6:30 PM
TEENS & ADULTS — Ages 13+
Mondays & Thursdays | 6:30–7:30 PM

Whether you have a child who could benefit from greater confidence and focus, a teenager looking for a positive challenge, or you’ve always wanted to learn traditional karate yourself, there’s a place for you at Kaizen Gōjūkan.

Special Community Rates

Special rates are available for Lewisville Adventist Church members, as well as Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders.

We believe a dojo should be more than a place to learn martial arts. It should be a community where people encourage one another, families can grow together, and every student is challenged to become a little better than they were yesterday.

Well the scene is set for the new school year. New students in the lobby, my daughter is joining back (yay!) but I feel something is missing… the last time I was here in my do-gi was with Peter Brandon-Hanshi, and he is not here… 😢

Will train hard this semester to honor the spirit of training he left with us

So honored to have had Peter Brandon Hanshi spend some time with us a few weeks ago. Well, if you haven’t already seen the news, he was promoted to a rather historical rank of 9th Dan this passed week at the European seminar along with Ingo de Jong, Hanshi, the European Block director, by Saiko-Shihan Goshi Yamaguchi, our President
