What a busy weekend at Tapper's Kenpo Karate in Lewisville this weekend. On Saturday over 30 women gathered at the dojo for a Woman's Self Defense Seminar. The genesis of this event was that several friends and family members had young women heading off to college in a few weeks and are concerned for their child's safety. Mr. Tapper shared common sense strategies to AVOID the need for physical contact (awareness, range, avoidance, etc.) Additionally, quick and effective examples and "hands on" training on how to stop and flee from an attack using both verbal and natural weapons were conducted.

A great testing cycle this last week at Tapper's Kenpo Karate in Lewisville Texas. Sidhu Sinthil was promoted to FIRST DEGREE BROWN (in the black gi photo standing between Mr Tapper and Mrs Cox), Additionally, Jesus Serrano to Orange, and our three promotions to Yellow belt (in the white Gis photo left to right) Diego Martinez, Jessica Michalek and Nina Barrientos.
