🍂 Fall fun is right around the corner in Lewiston! 🍁

The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department has an exciting lineup of family-friendly events planned this fall! From searching for Bigfoot and dancing in costume to spooky Halloween fun and hunting for turkeys after dark, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy!

👣 Academy Park Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt — Friday, September 25 at 6:30 PM. Bring a bag or basket, put your scavenger skills to the test, and see if you can track down Bigfoot! Designed for families with children ages 3–12 and held rain or shine.

🎃 Kids Halloween Costume Dance Party — Friday, October 9 from 6–8 PM at the Red Brick Gym. Dress up and get ready for a night of music, dancing, a photo booth, costume awards, games, activities, prizes and more. Kids of all ages are welcome!

👻 Halloween Spooktacular — Sunday, October 25. Join us at the Red Brick Municipal Building for a costume fun run at 11:30 AM, followed by Halloween festivities from noon–3 PM, including a haunted hallway, DJ, photos, Sanderson Sisters and Center Street trick-or-treating. It’s all FREE!

🦃 Wild Turkey Hunt — Friday, November 6 at 6:30 PM at Academy Park Bandshell. Grab your flashlight and basket and head into the park to hunt in the dark for candy, prizes and, of course, turkeys! FREE to participate!

🏀 INDOOR BASKETBALL IS BACK AT THE RED BRICK! 🏀

We’re excited for a full lineup of Red Brick Basketball opportunities for kids of all ages and skill levels! From learning the fundamentals to competitive team play, there’s a place for everyone to get on the court, build confidence, make friends, and have fun.

This year’s basketball offerings include our Fall Basketball Clinic for grades K–8, Travel Basketball for girls and boys in grades 4–8, Winter Instructional Basketball for grades K–2, and the Winter House League for grades 3–8. Check out the attached flyers for dates, times, locations, costs, registration information, and all the details!

*ALERT* Special Pop-Up Friday Family Fun Night!!

Get ready for a spooktacular night of Halloween fun at the Village of Lewiston Recreation Department’s Kids Halloween Costume Dance Party! Join us on Friday, October 9th from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Red Brick Gym for a FREE evening filled with music and dancing with a live DJ, a photo booth, costume awards, and our Spooky Lounge. Kids of all ages are invited to come dressed in their favorite costumes and enjoy a fun-filled night with family and friends. Refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the Recreation Department. That’s a wrap on an incredible summer!

The Red Brick Summer Youth Outdoor Basketball Season has officially come to a close, and our K–8 program is done for the summer!

What a great season! From learning new skills and competing on the court to building friendships, confidence, and a love for the game, our young athletes brought energy and enthusiasm every week.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our players, families, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this summer so special. We loved seeing the courts filled with kids playing, learning, laughing, and enjoying basketball together.
