🏒 Help us bring youth hockey back to Kents Hill!

We are working with the Kents Hill community to explore bringing Tier IV hockey programs back to Kents Hill School for 6U, 8U and 10U players.

And we need to hear from families who are interested.

We’re currently gauging interest for potential teams as soon as the 2026–27 season, as well as for 2027–28. Your response will help us determine the level of interest and what programs may be possible.

If your family might be interested, please take a few minutes to learn more and complete the pre-registration form. Even if you’re looking ahead to next season, we want to hear from you.

Practices and games are planned to be held at Kents Hill School’s Joy and Rist Bonnefond Ice Hockey Arena, with teams participating in the MEAHA Tier IV league.

The early years of hockey should be about building skills AND loving the game. 🏒

That’s the idea behind our 6U and 8U programs. Players get consistent ice time, dedicated skating and skills development, and plenty of opportunities to learn through practices, games and jamborees.

For our youngest Gladiators, this is where strong skating, confidence and a whole lot of hockey friendships begin.

🏒 Girls need more than an occasional opportunity to skate together.

That's why the Maine Gladiators are creating consistent girls-only development opportunities throughout the hockey season.

Beginning in October, our Girls Learn to Play, Girls Beginner Hockey and 6U/8U supplemental players will come together weekly, giving young female players approximately 20 opportunities throughout the season to develop alongside other girls.

They'll be joined throughout the season by coaches, instructors and volunteer partners from local college and high school girls hockey programs.

More ice time together means more opportunities to build skills, confidence, friendships and a stronger girls hockey community right here in Central Maine. ❤️🖤

The Maine Gladiators are expanding girls hockey opportunities in central Maine, offering free lessons for young players and beginner hockey for ages 7 and up.

Your kid says they want to play hockey. Awesome! 🏒

Now you’re trying to figure out equipment, age groups, USA Hockey numbers and which program they’re supposed to join.

That’s exactly why the Gladiators have different starting points for new players.

🔴 Ages 4–6: FREE Gladiators Learn to Play
⚫ Ages 7+: Beginner Hockey Clinic
🏒 Little Bruins gives new players ages 5–9 an introduction to the game with gear included.

Have a daughter who wants to start with other girls? We also offer Girls Learn to Play and Girls Beginner Hockey options.

Still not sure? Send us a message. We’d rather help you find the right program than have you try to figure out hockey registration alone!
