Faith Down Low | On the Way - Isaiah 40:3

Migration always starts before arrival. Long before snow geese settle in, they’re already moving - drawn toward something they can’t see yet, but something they were created for.

Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 40:3:
“Prepare the way for the Lord.”

That verse is often read during Advent, a time of waiting and preparation, because before Christ arrived, God was already moving - shaping hearts and preparing the way in the wilderness.

Faith often looks like migration. You don’t see the destination yet… but you move anyway, trusting God is already ahead of you.

Snow geese weren’t built to survive alone.
They move together. Feed together. Migrate together.

Scripture reminds us:
“Two are better than one… A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

Faith was never meant to be a solo pursuit. We’re stronger when we stay connected, encourage one another, and walk through hard seasons together.

If you’re feeling worn down or isolated, don’t drift off on your own.

Psalm 103:1–5 reminds us to “forget not all His benefits.”
Real gratitude isn’t a holiday feeling. It’s a habit.

There’s nothing like watching a good dog work — full throttle, focused, trusting every command. It’s not just instinct… it’s identity shaped by training, discipline, and obedience.

That’s the picture Scripture gives us in Colossians 3:23:
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

When your identity is in Christ → your character changes.
When your character changes → your work changes.
Your attitude shifts, your effort deepens, and gratitude becomes natural.

Whether it’s your job, your marriage, your leadership, your parenting — even your time afield — work from the heart to honor the One you serve.
