Welcome to Session 4 at BVRA Gymnastics, home of the “Energy Gymnastics Team.”
All recreational programs are CANCELED for the week of 6/28-7/5 in recognition of Independence Day. Classes will resume on Monday, 7/6. This break is built into our 9 week session so that you still get 8 classes.
We are excited to have you this session! If you’re a returning customer, you probably don’t need to read this. But if you’re new, some of this information could be helpful!
First, finding us! Yes, yes. Google maps or the Waze app. But, sometimes a few old school directions can be helpful. We are located in the former Lewisburg Area High School, 815 Market Street in Lewisburg, on the Southeast corner of the route 45 and route 15 intersection. The parking lot you will use is the lot adjacent to route 15 behind the brown fence. If you are coming from the south on route 15, the easiest approach is to turn right onto St. Louis street before the building. Otherwise, the best entry is off of Market street and around the building. If all else fails, spot our “Gymnastics” sign and keep circling till you can park under it.
Second, arrival and entry! Folks arriving for martial arts, ParenTot, or Burst classes should usually use Door 19. Folks arriving for Parties, Sparks, Bolts, Surge, Pulse, Surge, or Static should usually use Door 23. We do share our building with many tenants. If you see other folks, they might be able to direct you to the right spot. Or, they might be just as lost as you 😉 In the winter months, we ask that people coming in Door 23 also use the side hallway with the green door for entry. This helps keep the warm air in.
Third, the waiting game. You are welcome to drop off any child attending martial arts programs, Parties, Sparks, Bolts, Surge, Pulse, Surge, or Static. We ask that parents stay present for ParenTot and Burst. Our seating area can get crowded during overlapping class times. Be patient. You’ll find a seat once things clear out.
Next, attire! Kids… Wear anything you can move well in. Special uniforms are unnecessary. But barefeet or socks are best unless we need shoes for a specific activity… and we’ll let you know. Parents… We try to keep the gym in the high 60s. But the temperature and the opening doors have a big effect on this. Parents, dress appropriately. Moms… this means hoodies, gloves, and at least one blanket.
Weather Policy! Programs that Begin Before 2:00pm By default, these programs will be canceled and scheduled for make-up if Lewisburg school district has a delay or cancels
school for the day. We may also cancel these programs with the method of notice below. Programs that Begin After 2:00pm These programs do NOT cancel if Lewisburg school district cancels. Instead, you will be notified the following ways by 2:00pm. - We will change the status of the evening to “CANCELED” on www.bvrec.org. - We will announce the cancellation on our page. - We will change the answering machine at the gymnastics center. - We will email blast the registered clients for the canceled evening. We will try to make up any and all weather cancellations that we can. However, BVRA does not guarantee that every weather cancellation will have a make up. We do not refund tuition for weather cancellations.
Finally, registration. No one is automatically registered for programs. If you are having fun and want to continue, please register for the next session as soon as you are able. We are always sad when kids can’t join a class because it’s full. But we also want to make sure that those who are registered have a safe positive experience. If you miss out on registration and go on a wait list, we’ll work as hard as we can to find a spot for you.
