Congratulations to the Knights on their first win of the season. Tonight, the Knights battled to a 58-46 victory over the Lebanon Christian Academy Panthers. It was a great match up. The Knights lead at half time 15-27. The Panthers fought back and tied it up at 30. Then the Knights showed a level of determination and fortitude to break open an 18-point lead. The Knights displayed respect and sportsmanship throughout the contest. This was a complete victory, and I can say on behalf of myself and Coach Eric VanDyke, it was honored to be on the sideline with these young men. Way to go Knights! To GOD be the Glory, honor and praise!

Tonight, we faced the Red Lion Christian School Swordsmen—a talented team with tremendous speed. We struggled early to find our footing and match their pace, and Red Lion capitalized, jumping out to a 27–4 lead after the first quarter.

Despite the early challenge, our boys never quit. They battled until the final buzzer and closed the gap, finishing the game 70–37. I am extremely impressed with the heart, effort, and perseverance they showed all the way through.

Tonight the boys battled with all their might. They might not have won the game, but they learned a lot about what it will take and that they are capable of great things. The effort was there as they scored 30 points in their first game and after only 4 practices. Thank you to all the Knights fans and to the cheerleaders who kept us motivated and encouraged. On to the next challenge! GO KNIGHTS!!!!

Our first practice is in the books. The team returned to some basics, focusing on dribbling, layups. We ran drills to work on defensive stance and sliding. Implemented the offense for the upcoming year. We will be working in three different styles of offense. The team will focus on what it means to be a biblically sound team both on and off the court. Building lasting relationships with teammates and strengthening each other as the season goes on. Next practice is December 2nd at 6 p.m.

Congratulations to the Refuge Baptist Christian Academy Knights for their first win! Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the year. Special thank you to Josiah Vandyke #50. He is our lone senior and team captain. His leadership and guidance helped the team grow. Mostly I would like to thank and praise the Lord for his goodness to us. Allowing us to play this game and give him glory for everything we were able to experience. May he be pleased with all we did this season.
