MotoPlaygrounds Abe at Lincoln Trail Motosports

It was for sure not rainbows and butterflies but there was so much grit and growth shown from Waylon. He didn’t get the results he wanted but he put it all out on the track. Even with not having a clean moto the whole weekend we are proud.

Friday practice was great, the weather was great, and lots of fun was had. Saturday…. Not good. Weather was rough, track was rough, lots of playing in the mud And rain and all the outfit changes 🤟🏻

65 10-11 moto one he got 14 it was total carnage and he was stuck forever in the slop (he finished with 12th but scoring had issues and we didn’t tell them we were running only one bike and one transponder so his last lap didn’t count or something 🤷🏻‍♀️🤪) moto two he got 8th for 12th overall out of 16
65 10-11 limited moto one he got 6th and moto two he got 7th for 6th overall out of 12
56 7-11 moto one took a digger on the start but had fought back up to 6th but his mind got the best of him and he evening up pulling off because with the rain and all the mud he said he couldn’t squeeze and felt unsafe out there. (We were not happy but 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️) he got a DNF and then moto two he got 12th for 10th overall out of 22.

Lincoln trail round 1, you could definitely tell it had been a long winter of hardly any riding 😂🤪 but Waylon made it work and put his head down and pushed through.

Hanky was so ‘sausted after his first moto he didn’t want to do a second 🤪 but he did and he had the best time. My sweet little 4 year old held his own out there against those big kids.

🐍65 open Waylon got 5th in his division and then 14th in the main for 11th overall out of 64 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
🐍65 sr there was not one clean moto 🤔 moto one fought back to 8th after being down for a hot minute. Moto two went down but fought to 5? (The results were all messed up due to some rule fun) He ended with 5th overall out of 22
🍊85jr was hard to watch 🫣 Waylon has lost all confidence on it and I wish there was more we would do to help but he will get there. Moto two was better then one but he ended up with 20th overall out of 35
🍊hanky boys shaft shifter, moto one he got 13th and moto two he got 17th for 15th overall out of 22 with very few crashes 🤣❤️

Waylon has been having some major withdraws from his bike so we made a last minute choice to load up indoors actions at western Kentucky arenacross in the freezing cold for our first race of 2026 🥶🥶🥶

We came up friday so they could Practice, it went really well for Waylon on his 65. He looked good on his 85 until his chain broke after a jump. Thankfully we had grest people there for help. Hanky practiced too but after the first practice he was frozen and went out for his second and it took a good 15 minutes to get him to calm down because his hands were just so cold. He said he wasn’t racing anymore unless it was warm or outdoors 🤪🤷🏻‍♀️

Waylon got 5th in his heat race for 65 open and then gave up first in the main taking second overall out of 20. Then he got second in his heat for 65 sr and 1st in his main for first overall out of 11, his first 65 sr race. The 85 needs work 😂 he got 7th in his heat and 5th in the LCQ which wasn’t good enough for the mains but that’s fine.

Mini O’s 2025 has came and gone 🤟🏻 Waylon first big national race. No mains were made and that fine, we went into the week with no expectation. There were over 110 kids in each of his classes for SX and MX, and those kids are tough kids to compete with. It opened his eyes to where he needs to be if he wants.

Even with all the bad and the stress with sickness, bike issues, dirt naps, and all the things it was the best week with family and friends. We are so proud of Waylon and all he accomplished on the tracks this week. SX he was running so freaking good, damn near holeshots, clearing the triples, running with the big dogs, and doing all the thing we new he was capable of. ❤️ MX was not as great but it was still good. Most of the time he looked good and was very consistent. Jumping the jumps and good starts ❤️

We are beyond blessed and thankful to be able to give our boy these opportunities and to come home happy and healthy.

Mini Os 2025 is here!!

The triple nickel will be racing his first ever big national race! No Expectations on placements and our only goal is a fun week, safety, and all the effort.

Practice starts tomorrow for SX followed by racing starting Sunday. MX Practice will start Tuesday after SX racing finished and racing will start Wednesday afternoon and will run though Saturday.

We are wishing the best luck and praying for safety for all the riders out here racing on the week of Thanksgiving. we are so thankful and happy to be able to have this experience and get our feet wet with national events here for the Thor Mini Olympics.
