Welcome to Shale Hollow Park! We appreciate your patience as we navigate record-setting attendance during the summer of 2020. Our park police have been monitoring the parking availability and we apologize to anybody who has needed to wait to enter the park.

Shale Hollow regularly reaches its peak attendance from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., meaning that visiting at this time may mean waiting 10-15 minutes for an available parking spot.

We also want to remind our visitors that dogs are not permitted on the overlook trail or in the natural exploration area. This is for the safety of both our guests and for the wildlife that have built their nests around the trail.

Thank you all for your patience and we hope to see you out on the trails soon!
