My mom used to say, “Give me one hour, I’ll give you 23.”

I see you doing it all. You’re managing the schedule, the household, the work, the family—putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own until there’s nothing left for you.

It’s exhausting and it’s unsustainable.

Our Women’s Strength class (now full) begins tomorrow and I am so excited. This is your dedicated hour to set that weight down. And I don’t mean a dumbbell. I mean that weight constantly on your shoulders. For this hour, no one is asking anything of you except to show up for yourself.

About last night….

PT-style exercises I weave into workouts for myself and my clients. I did these before lifting today to move better and keep nagging aches from turning into something bigger.
• Banded dead bugs help me build core stability for better lifting. I use them to reinforce that ribs-over-pelvis position and improve the mind-body connection I want in my lifts.
• Glute activation helps with knee tracking and overall lower-body mechanics. These also just feel good, and sometimes that’s reason enough to include them.
• Scap stability work helps prep my shoulders for pressing. I like getting some blood flow into the area before I lift so everything feels more supported.

PT-style movements aren’t just for rehab — they’re part of how I train and how I coach. I like using exercises that improve core control, hip stability, and movement quality so the main lifts feel stronger and more efficient.
